was more that this British journalist has seen the path that Britain took and feels that America has taken the same path, a path that has led them further into a Third World position.

As well, America, or at least the ones who supported Obama, in this political race didn't approach it as a political race as much as they approached it as a popularity race. Now that the election is over, I can't help but wonder, like the author pointed out, exactly what this change will be and where it will take us.
