What a trash mouth....make you feel real good to be profane with a stranger on a posting board??

and yes, it is murder. When you kill a human being, its murder. You can justify it, rationalize it, whatever it takes so that you feel good about killing it....but it is murder. Very simple...it is living and growing. You introduce a foreign object and slice it into pieces and suck it out of the one place that should be SAFE. Biology 101...the child is alive. It is growing. would not grow if it was not alive. The life was terminated. That's murder.

And of the 1.2 million abortions performed in this country every year, how may do you think are due to rape (by anyone), incest, or to protect the life of the mother? Less than 20%. All the others are oops abortions. So let's start with delegalizing abortion except in the case of rape, incest, and endangering the life of the mother. That would save about 800,000 babies a year. That would be a great place to start. It might also encourage better stewardship of those uteruses you want the government to stay out of. You don't mind the government going in there to kill babies though, do you?

So now you want to round up all the pregnant women who are poor and abort their kids? You hinting that poor kids aren't loved by their parents?

You make a good point, but I think the real credit for African American progress..sm
is education. You can take away all of the social programs you want to, but if there is not progress in education, you still have poverty.
So by posting this, you assume that all liberals feel this way about Christianity?
I certainly know that is not true.  No one has a right to judge any human being's Christianity but God.  Yes, I know your headline said *liberals only* but, of course, that is an invitation to look, isn't it?  I doubt seriously that this writer knows how *the majority* of Christians feel on anything, including the death penalty.  He also shows a very marked lack of understanding and knowledge of what is in the Bible.  Though I am not an Ann Coulter fan, I have never known her to lean heavily on her Christianity when speaking. The last time I looked, there is no picture next to Christianity in the encyclopedia.
Good one. Open mouth, insert foot.

If it makes you feel better - but in the real world, indictment is not a joke.
Not to mention, this is an indictment by a Grand Jury from his home state. The natives are restless, it seems.

Happily, it doesn't matter a bit if DeLay is convicted or not. He's finished, caput, out on his butt, a lame duck if there ever was one. Like Gingrich before him he's had his day in the public eye and sure, with his connections he'll do fine in the private sector - but good riddance to that era.
Oh, but please try to make it look like more than one of you is posting, as usual. Please? nm

NOBODY can make Saddam look good. But Bush seems to be the ONLY one who can make him look less

This ought to make everyone feel better. LOL

Ask the liberals who are posting there to come over to this board.
I know it is tempting to want to post on the opposite board, I try to fight it though because I know anything I say over there will only start a fight.
Ya sure you wanna keep posting on this board?
Seeing as how you are dialoguing with only one person?  Sounds kind of dull in my opinion, but whatever.......
actually not sure...googled it. It was a posting board...I did
find like to the times article though.

First time posting on board
Just had to say I agree. I cannot stand Elizabeth. She's always right and never wrong. She knows it all.
Do you read anything except the posting board?
The cause of our economic meltdown was the housing meltdown. You can't blame that one on Bush. He and old McCain have been warning about it for years, but the majority Dem Congress (especially Mr. Frank and Mr. Dodd) turned a blind eye to the whole thing. Mr. Frank is on video saying, loosely quoted, "Doesn't matter if Fannie and Freddie fail. The government won't bail them out." It was all that bad fannie and freddie paper that those wall street types had bought up that crashed the market when all those bad mortgages went south...bad mortgages that the Dems insisted be given out, to people who they knew could not afford the payments, so "every american could have the american dream." Well, now we have the american nightmare. If you want to stay in denial and somehow claim this was Bush's fault, go ahead. Does not change the truth of what happened. I don't agree with everything Bush did for sure. But the "pubs" as you guys like to call them are on the right side of this issue.

And it doesn't take a Messiah...or petty hatefulness...to figure this out. Look at what is happening, what Obama has done so far, and if you can see the silver lining, please to show it to me.

I have a friend in Massachusetts who is as liberal a Democrat as they come, and he told me yesterday, about Obama: "He IS a socialist. No doubt about it." It only took him 2 months to realize it...after a year of telling me he wasn't. So, not all you are wearing blinders. lol. And a socialist is what it is, and does what it does. This country functioned beautifully on capitalism for many years and it would have recovered on capitalism as it had in the past. But Mr. Obama is doing his dead level best to kill that, kill the entrepreneurial spirit, kill ambition, kill what made this country great. If Obama really cared about the poor and unfortunate he would put them to work, not pay them to vegetate. Trite though it sounds...they need a hand pulling them up, not pushing them down.
Why are you taking drugs and then posting on this board?

Your mind seems jumbled and confused.  Remember this one?

Antiwar Protestors Feed Muslim Murderers.

There are too many others to cut and paste.  They are slanderous and at times shocking.  They fuel intolerance and negative stereotypes.  We have some of the same on this board, but cannot even begin to approach what is posted on the CON board.  Not all of this scum journalism passing for the truth that is posted on the CON board is even commented on by the libs.

You don't play fair, you don't tell the truth.  You are only making these ridiculous and moronic claims in order to get a flame going.  I am going to ignore you and hope others will, too.  (It's a hard thing to do when someone is posting such nonsense).

Neocon, I think you are posting on the wrong board
GET OFF THE LIBERAL BOARD, FOOL..we dont want you here.
GET REAL if you make over 250 thou AFTER DEDUCTIONS you are RICH! NM
nnnoo message
Shall we pretend to agree with you just to make you feel better?
Just because you are in the minority does not mean you have to take your toys and go home. Grow up and get some back bone for God's sake!
Then don't come here if it doesn't make you feel "proud"
If coming to this board and listening to people who voice their opinions and concerns of what is happening in the country is so upsetting to you and takes away from you feeling "proud", then I would say not to come here. We listen to the concerns on this board and everyone that trashed McCain and Palin (and still do), and anyone else who is a not a liberal and voices their opinions - they get trashed, but we listen to it.

Then we give our concerns about Obama and the incoming administration. If it's that upsetting to you to know that not everyone in this country is in love with Obama and worships the ground he walks on then maybe you should find some boards somewhere where most all of the posts are just the jubilation, rapture, and ecstasy everyone has because we've elected the first black man to the white house no matter whether or not he knows what he's doing or meets the qualifications. Oh wait - that is this board.

You know what I get sick of seeing. The utter disrepsect that people give to those that don't join in the rapture. We are attacked and called names for it, but the moment we respond back we are criticized. Even the people who said they voted for Obama but are having some concerns about the people's he's picking for cabinet members they are attacked too because they are not dancing in circles drinking the Kool-Aid chanting Obama's name over and over and over.

Everyone has different opinions. Everyone has different concerns. Everyone has the right to voice those opinions.

I wouldn't worry too much, however, the way America is headed is that nobody will ever be able to say or write the truth about Obama because already in Missouri the "thought police" are monitoring websites of who's writing what about Obama and if it is the truth or not gushing with love they are being reported. They are also trying to silence the conservative radio shows so that it will only be liberal viewpoint that everyone hears. So soon all you'll hear is happy happy joy joy about Obama and those who don't agree with thim will be on their way to one of the hundreds of re-education camps in this country.

Of interesting note, Obama won McCain by 9,522,111. Out of 129,391,683 people who voted, that's not very much. Less than 8%. And there are over 303,824,640 people in America so that means 174,432,957 people in America did not vote (that's more than those who did vote). According to statistics only 25% of the country's population are children under 20 years old, so that still leaves over 9,847,679 people that didn't vote. So to go around acting as though every single person living in America voted for Obama gets a bit old. I'm also thankful that there are enough American's in the country to know right from wrong and a lot of them know their rights as Americans and they still believe in the constitution and what our founding fathers fought for (definitely NOT what is happening today) and they are not joining in the newest cult to come to this country.

So if coming to this board just depeletes all your "proudness" I'd find somewhere else to go.
Well Brunson, I've been posting on the politics board on mtstars sm
for a few years, since it was created. It has took some tough skin - really tough to debate Nan and AG and the others of their ilk. Though I must say their unwaivering love and confidence in President Bush is almost admirable and I can't help but respect a person who knows what they believe in and stand strong for it; at the very same time, not being open to other's view points is close minded.

I have seen in my day AG (AKA Bush Supporter), Nan, and more of their coherts run quite a few liberal minded, even meek speaking posters and they did it with no regard to their feelings. They like to make the debate a personal one, so I would say by looking at what the trolls did to them was a healthy dose of their own medicine, and by the way from what I've read I didn't see death wished on anyone. That's yet another trick of theirs, again you would have to know them, to demonize everything the democrats/liberals say.

I feel the need to answer on this board regarding this post. SM

You could not possibly have done an in depth research of the Protest Warriors.  They are no more pro war than God is.   They do believe in the right to bear arms, part of our Constitution, by the way.  I know how deeply offended you must be by seeing pictures of those who own guns defying your agenda to take them away from them, despite what the Constitution says.  They are pro-Israel and believe, as I do, in the Israeli state.  They are Jewish.  I am not.  While doing your selective in-depth review of their web site, did you happen to view any of the videos.  Two?  Even one?   I am thinking you probably didn't.  Protest Warriors expose the left for what they have become.  Shrill, violent apologists for terrorists.  Anti-American shills for the very people who want us dead.  If you viewed the videos, you would know that.  But you don't want to know that I am sure.  Please stop speaking about something you obviously know nothing about.  I am the member you spoke about. I don't know anyone else who posts on the boards who has admitted to being a member.

Can you tell me how you feel inclined to be the board monitor? sm

In the meantime, I have wished you Merry Christmas several times.  In your politically correct universe, is that bashing?

Here's a real nice conservative statement. How to make friends and influence people.

"Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson suggested on-air Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, that American operatives assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to stop his country from becoming "a launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism."

No, and please try and comprehend what I am saying, gt broke the truce when she attacked me.  Can you comprehend that?  I was staying off your board until I saw that gt actually attacked me in a thread that ended up in a truce with another poster.  You are really really not a nice person.  I will pray for you.
Thanks for posting - good reads to explore.

Do you feel good about yourself now?
I didn't feel I needed to take the time to go to a dictionary to check the spelling of a word when it is blatantly obvious you understood the term we were referring to. I am sure you personally felt the need to take it upon yourself to take the time to go to the dictionary before posting this to actually see if we had spelled it correctly. Your post is not constructive at all. Go back to bed.
Hello, stranger........... sm
I'm guessing you are "our" shelly?

The thing about it, Shelly, is that if Obama takes office and is later proven to be ineligible after he has signed legislation, everything he has signed will be null and void and the country will be left at in a bigger quandry than it is now. Better to shut the barn door before the horses get out, so to speak.

I do agree, however, that there are a lot of issues hanging in the balance that require our attention. But if the BC issue were cleared up, those may just go away on their own.....at least for 4 years.

The Perfect Stranger
The Perfect Stranger

By Charles Krauthammer
Friday, August 29, 2008;

Barack Obama is an immensely talented man whose talents have been largely devoted to crafting, and chronicling, his own life. Not things. Not ideas. Not institutions. But himself.

Nothing wrong or even terribly odd about that, except that he is laying claim to the job of crafting the coming history of the United States. A leap of such audacity is odd. The air of unease at the Democratic convention this week was not just a result of the Clinton psychodrama. The deeper anxiety was that the party was nominating a man of many gifts but precious few accomplishments -- bearing even fewer witnesses.

When John Kerry was introduced at his convention four years ago, an honor guard of a dozen mates from his Vietnam days surrounded him on the podium attesting to his character and readiness to lead. Such personal testimonials are the norm. The roster of fellow soldiers or fellow senators who could from personal experience vouch for John McCain is rather long. At a less partisan date in the calendar, that roster might even include Democrats Russ Feingold and Edward Kennedy, with whom John McCain has worked to fashion important legislation.
ad_icon

Eerily missing at the Democratic convention this year were people of stature who were seriously involved at some point in Obama's life standing up to say: I know Barack Obama. I've been with Barack Obama. We've toiled/endured together. You can trust him. I do.

Hillary Clinton could have said something like that. She and Obama had, after all, engaged in a historic, utterly compelling contest for the nomination. During her convention speech, you kept waiting for her to offer just one line of testimony: I have come to know this man, to admire this man, to see his character, his courage, his wisdom, his judgment. Whatever. Anything.

Instead, nothing. She of course endorsed him. But the endorsement was entirely programmatic: We're all Democrats. He's a Democrat. He believes what you believe. So we must elect him -- I am currently unavailable -- to get Democratic things done. God bless America.

Clinton's withholding the "I've come to know this man" was vindictive and supremely self-serving -- but jarring, too, because you realize that if she didn't do it, no one else would. Not because of any inherent deficiency in Obama's character. But simply as a reflection of a young life with a biography remarkably thin by the standard of presidential candidates.

Who was there to speak about the real Barack Obama? His wife. She could tell you about Barack the father, the husband, the family man in a winning and perfectly sincere way. But that takes you only so far. It doesn't take you to the public man, the national leader.

Who is to testify to that? Hillary's husband on night three did aver that Obama is "ready to lead." However, he offered not a shred of evidence, let alone personal experience with Obama. And although he pulled it off charmingly, everyone knew that, having been suggesting precisely the opposite for months, he meant not a word of it.

Obama's vice presidential selection, Joe Biden, naturally advertised his patron's virtues, such as the fact that he had "reached across party lines to . . . keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of terrorists." But securing loose nukes is as bipartisan as motherhood and as uncontroversial as apple pie. The measure was so minimal that it passed by voice vote and received near zero media coverage.

Thought experiment. Assume John McCain had retired from politics. Would he have testified to Obama's political courage in reaching across the aisle to work with him on ethics reform, a collaboration Obama boasted about in the Saddleback debate? "In fact," reports the Annenberg Political Fact Check, "the two worked together for barely a week, after which McCain accused Obama of 'partisan posturing' " -- and launched a volcanic missive charging him with double-cross.

So where are the colleagues? The buddies? The political or spiritual soul mates? His most important spiritual adviser and mentor was Jeremiah Wright. But he's out. Then there's William Ayers, with whom he served on a board. He's out. Where are the others?

The oddity of this convention is that its central figure is the ultimate self-made man, a dazzling mysterious Gatsby. The palpable apprehension is that the anointed is a stranger -- a deeply engaging, elegant, brilliant stranger with whom the Democrats had a torrid affair. Having slowly woken up, they see the ring and wonder who exactly they married last night.
and who wants to tell a stranger on the phone
who they are voting for anyway?? I have had several calls and I do not tell anyone who i am voting for. This is still America, right? isn't my vote my business and no one else's??? That amazes me - that people will tell a perfect stranger who just happens to have their phone number who they will vote for.
You make that judgment from one post on a board....
are we then to assume, because of Bill Clinton's antics, that all democrats are morally bankrupt?
That's a good, fair article. Very well stated. Thanks for posting the link!....nm

Very good point!!! The world doesn't see any of that on the news! Thanks for posting that! nm

So if being dominated doesn't feel good,
This has nothing to do with any of the other drivel about Nazism, socialism or what. Its time for your medicine.
Oh, yeah. I see now why you've got such a *feel good* attitude.

Lurker had the courage to try to debate you, tried to ignore your rude comments and personal attacks.  Yes, your intelligent debate triggered responses by Lurker, as follow:

Please do not preach at me and tell me I don't understand the concept of working for a living. I try my best not to berate or belittle anyone on this board and I would appreciate the same consideration.

Please don’t lump me in your hate and rhetoric category. I don't belong there.

I am very disheartened at this time and altho I have taken a couple of weeks off these boards, evidently it is not enough time, my emotions are still too raw to be on a politics board, either one of them. So, again, I will remove myself from this setting for awhile. Aho.

I can see from her above post why you're so happy.  Looks like you succeeded in chasing her away for a while, too.

He would make a good politician.
He's flip-flopping already!!!
you make some good points; however,
for people so very skeptical of the 'black man' how is it you immediately on a dime trust this woman and you nor any of us know who she really is. You have NO idea about her and you defend her like she is your own family. It is kind of weird...

From our point of view, and by that I mean undecided about who to vote for, we are not that trusting after being burned 8 years ago...
To gt and the other good people on this board

They're back, and they're back with a vengeance.  Their pitiful little lives must be going very badly for them, poor babies.  Maybe winter has arrived, and they realize they can't afford to heat their homes, and they're upset and angry.  Or maybe they're just basically hateful, vengeful people who have to evict all the old built-up hatred in their tiny hearts to make room for new anger and hatred to reside.

Either way, they just can't seem to leave us alone.  I suggest we ignore every single post -- don't even read it and don't respond to it.

There are some people for whom reason is beyond reach, and all we do is feed their hatred.

I say we ignore them until their current hate *wave* passes.

Well....good for you....you figured out that this is a democratically-dominated board...
profound grasp of the obvious. lol.

If the real folks, with real hope, faith, and

Trash.....
I guess that black smut on my fireplace needs to be put in the trash.......after all, it's sitting around and not accomplishing a thing
And more trash......
I guess that white toilet paper stuck to the bottom of my shoe needs to be flushed as it is just dragging me down and is the subject of ridicule.
Trailer trash?
Unfortunately for you, my dear, your use of the expression "trailer trash" negates any of your statements as worthwhile.  It's rather comical how you rant about the evils of someone with ambition and goals in one sentence, and then in the next sentence insult  all those who live in a trailer park.   I guess I'm guilty of a little prejudice myself, as anyone who calls anyone "trailer trash"  I consider that person a "snob", and a much less desirable person than the one who lives in a trailer park.  It's a juvenile and over-used term and actually reveals a flaw in YOUR character.
Time to take out the trash
Uhhh, the FPJ question, the only one I see in this post, was answered in the PS, i.e., “FPJ, one in the same.” Guess you didn’t make it down that far before you threw this latest tantrum. The retreat snipe, like most of your rhetoric, was so predictable that I included a pre-emptive reference to it in the post... but you probably couldn’t recognize that either. Looks like you need someone to translate English into English for you. That would be the kick ‘em when they’re down reference. Let me break it down for you (AGAIN), to make sure this point does not go over you head.

I have no choice but to “retreat.” That would not be on account of “you win / I lose”....that’s your mentality, not mine. No white flag waving, no surrender in sight. Fact is, I have to look for a job. I will be the first to concede victory to you in the sense that it isn’t too hard to win arguments you will be having with yourself in my absence. So the kick ‘em when they’re down reference refers to taking advantage (i.e., taking the ball and running with it) of that imperative (needing to look for a job)....which is precisely what you are doing in this response.

I’m not going to explain this more than twice to you....that ought to be enough for you to grasp this basic concept. Pen names, aliases and assumed names are something I use within the CONTEXT (something you seem to hate as much as fact) of the post-at-hand. It adds a little dimension and intrigue to the board. Just a little innocent fun on my part and perfectly legitimate literary license. It’s done all the time. It certainly seems to get under your skin and “push your buttons” for reasons I have already discussed. It disarms you momentarily and impels you to hold back on the insults since you cannot quite figure out who you are talking to. Miss America....why does freedom of speech that seeks to examine and exercise alternative viewpoints bother you so? Now, which is taking this “wayyy too seriously?”

Don’t need to support those alternative viewpoints by inventing imaginary proponents as you would like to imply. Fact is, most liberals will not even bother with this type of “Sam and choir” forum. They recognize what a waste of time it is to approach the degree of ignorance they encounter in bigots and do not enjoy indulging in this level of insult-punctuated, dead-end dialog. Like I just said in the previous post, I have illustrated the point I was trying to make, blah, blah, blah...will not repeat the content of what I just wrote to you. You obviously were not paying attention anyway.

At least try to keep up with the content of your own snipes and digs. “Me thinks you need to trot off to...” Hence, the sunset imagery. So much for the Obama put down.....HELLO...no dodge here. Your question was answered. I did not have time to read some of the other posts that appeared between my last one from yesterday and this morning, and I am sincere when I say I meant no disrespect by having to ignore them. Aside from the job search, I had one of those life-and-death immigration fires to put out last night for a Somali woman, here illegally, trying to declare political asylum for herself and her two youngest daughters, ages 6 and 8, in an effort to spare them from female genital circumcision / mutilation, a fate she and her eldest daughter could not escape in time. Seems the visa quotas for Somalia are full for the next century or so. She needed help filling out some of the mountains of immigration paperwork. I kinda thought that was an issue a tad more important than swapping our latest round of whatevers. This reality check helped me decide that I really do have bigger fish to fry than this petty, pathetic, bickering banter.

Others in my “camp” believe bigotry deniers are just about one step under Holocaust deniers. WOT to “belabor” that issue one more second with you. Not bigoted against conservatives, but I will concede another point to you. I am bigoted against bigots. Not terribly fond of plagiarists either. Your denials are a really weak defense and transparent to anyone who is paying even the slightest bit of attention. No need to bury you under a mountain of examples. Don’t have all that spare time you seem to have to go back and review old posts that were nauseating enough on first pass. For me, it is kind of like copying someone else’s homework or cheating on a test, pretending to be smart, letting others do your thinking for you, being too lazy to do your own homework, stealing ideas out of somebody else’s head and words out of their mouths. Full-blown authors take it pretty seriously and, as a matter of fact, so does the law, intellectual properties notwithstanding. Fodder of plenty of lawsuits so yeah, it was worth mentioning. Like Bush and McCain, you would prefer to make tacky jokes.

Speaking of tacky jokes, I know you heard the one about Wall Street being drunk. Wondering if you also heard about the woman who committed suicide yesterday (a mere 12 hours after Bush got his rocks off in the middle of all those laughing pubs) an hour before her home went up for auction? Faxed a suicide note to the mortgage company and another one to her family members, telling them to use the insurance money to pay off the mortgage. Must have been too distraught to realize they wouldn’t pay a dime for suicide. The pubs really can be a cold-blooded, mean-spirited bunch of blankety-blanks, being blind to the misery of all the hoi polloi. Reminds me of some people I know. Elitism at its finest hour, I must say. BTW, it’s just a rhetorical question. No need for an answer.

Miss the point, MS miss-the-point re channeling theory building. In any case, this is no fun anymore, so call the ciao for now whatever you like...retreat, surrender...whatever. You just love to delude yourself. Knock yourself out. Wear that spiteful vixen moniker with great pride. You don’t have the sense to be embarrassed by it all.

Neverending trash. No one in their right
