sigh. You're right...they don't get it. Moderate Muslims did not fly planes into the trade centers or bomb embassies or strap bombs to their backs. But you will never convince this crowd of that. If they had lost people in the towers or in a PA field or in the Pentagon, or a bombed embassy, et al...different story. Ask the 9-11 families how they feel about Obama's kumbaya attitude. Not very darned much, and I don't blame them.
This country is circling the drain and he has alread asked for nearly a trillion in new spending...and that is just a start. Just think what he can do with the rest of his term.

I’ve been browsing the Department of Homeland Security website (www.DHG.gov) and I’ve found nothing that even comes close to authenticating this document. Nothing. And there is a lot in the document itself which does not pass the sniff test. One is that this document is only 10 pages, counting the cover page. I highly doubt there is a federal agency in existence that can produce a 10 page report, let alone one that allegedly includes “Law Enforcement Sensitive (LES) information”. 10 Pages? That alone should be setting off warning bells.
Here are several items that are stated far to plainly and that make me question this docs veracity:
1. Note on Page 2 of 9: “[Rightwing extremism] may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.”
2. “The information is provided to federal, state, local, and tribal counterterrorism and law enforcement officials” Emphasis added. Tribal counterterrorism & law enforcement official?
3. “The economic downturn and the election of the first African American president present unique drivers for rightwing radicalization and
recruitment.” This is the same canard a lot of liberal-left activists were putting out there in order to discredit any and all criticisms of Pres. Obama. I guess ACORN is now writing law enforcement reports for DHS?
I could go on and on about this. This so-called DHS report is a farce. It was made up by radical leftists, given to a conservative that would believe anything negative about the current administration and the story goes from there.
In short, my reaction to the report: It’s bull, and every website that links to it and pushes the story forward are being taken for a bunch of suckers. The Soros-led liberal left are laughing their heads off at anyone who buys into this nonsense.

the hightest office in the land, we have the right to logically judge whether that person could reasonably be expected to complete his term. If someone has a serious disease that could affect his/her capability of doing so, we have the right to know that before we cast our vote. This goes for both candidates. Transparency, isn't that what both candidates say they are for?

McCain camp made such as issue about Obama's lack of foreign travel, boasting about how many times he had been overseas to visit the troops, and claiming that made him a more viable foreign policy candidate. He openly challenged Obama to make his trip overseas, gleefully hoping that Obama would end up looking like a rookie. Obama responded in kind, met with world leaders, garnered open support from Iraq's president and turned out 250,000 Berliners for his speech. Not too shabby for a rookie. So, if there was so much flap over Obama's not having been overseas and how that made him inexperienced, what does it say about his VP pick, who applied for a passport last year? McCain can't have it both ways. This issue is being raised to point out McCain double standards.

What part of we are in a bunch of crisEs do you not get? I for one am EXTREMELY gratified that he is the man of action we need him to be. He was elected. The electoral college members will enthusiastically cast 365 votes for him in December. On all airways and in all media outlets, he is referred to as the President Elect. He will be sworn into office in January. Get over it. You make yourself sound even more petty than Malkin. Why get so hung up over a trite technicality? Why not use your time more constructively, like trying to figure out what to do about the GOP leadership crisis/vacuum and their need for a platform transplant?

I don't care who is running the show.....
We are in deep sh&t and it's only going to get deeper......wouldn't matter if McCain was at the helm or Obama. The tax cuts, obviously, didn't work. So, we go in the opposite direction and put our fingers in our ears and hope it doesn't explode.......I really don't see an alternative. What I fear the most is a deep and desperate time of civil unrest unlike anything we have seen in the past........that is something to fear as it will only make us more vulnerable.
