Yes, I think Christ himself

a great deal of their **holier than thou** hate-speech caca. After all, he was the very essence of love and forgiveness, knew the hypocrites all too well and said, *Judge not lest ye be judged* Funny how His own words somehow are forgotten, huh? What about the hypocrisy of taking from the poor to give to the wealthy? Was Christ as a humble, poor person himself not a champion of the poor? I sure don't remember a that he said *Blessed are the warmongers*

Obviously you don't know much about Christ
He did speak out against wrong doing and sometimes LOUDLY and with force. Don't forget the moneychangers' tables. Maybe you don't know what that was about but that was a HUGE thing in Jesus' time and doing so took great courage. Are you saying he hated because he disapproved of what they were doing? He never said let wrongdoing continue. I guess you would call him judgemental, huh? He said love those, regardless, not take part and go along with them and their beliefs.

The very fact that you use Christian and "hate" in your responses over and over tells of your true feelings.
Anyone bombing anything in the name of Christ
needs to rethink who they say they are "in the name of". I do not believe a true Christian would harm anyone to prove a point or say that it was in the name of Christ. These people have their ideas twisted. We are to hate the SIN of abortion, not the abortionist. God will deal with them in His own time, it is not for us to do.

Remember, God doesn't NEED us to do anything.

The anti-christ??
Please-with all the damage done by Bush, and Obama is the anti-christ to you?? He is a Christian man with a lovely, loving family, strong values, and wants what is best for America. And he hasn't even been sworn in yet? What is with you folks that see it necessary to act like Obama is the devil incarnate! I have prayed for my country, the my prayers have been answered. He takes office in January.
Christ as in Christian
tells us this behavior is "abominable." Dysfunctional and disgusting is in the same category. Saying something is disgusting or bad or wrong is not judging. It's stating a fact. Tell me how to love my fellow man who insists on being labeled as a sinful behavior that I'm required to hate. Hate the sin, love the sinner doesn't fly in the homosexual community. Can we hate murder but love the murderer? Can we hate stealing but love the thief? Tell us all how to do that when it's hard to separate the two, especially if someone wants to be labeled as a particular sin. Impossible, I say.
Christ himself preached against sin sm
but loved the sinner. A PERSON is not labeled as a particular sin, they have committed a particular sin, big difference.

May be hard to separate the two, but it is what Christ commanded. If you take on the name of a Christian you are commanded to be Christ like. We are human and we fail, but if you consistently have this attitude, it makes me wonder if Christ is just in your head or really in your heart.
Those of us who take Jesus Christ as our saviour.
.
PLEASE take Jesus Christ as your Savior >>>
Take him the hell out of everyones politics, you narrow-minded ignoramus.
That was lame.............Christ on a cracker!

Why are "Christians" so judgmental when Christ wasn't that way
shame on you gay haters
It is easy to label someone the anti-Christ..

if you have enough time on your hands.  Here is an article asking if President Bush is the anti-Christ.  People will believe what they want to.

Christian does mean to follow Christ Jesus. SM

You know, Jesus, the son of God, God in human flesh?  Jesus, who answered Pilate "you say rightly I am king," Jesus, who answered the high priest when asked if he was the Christ "Yes, it is as you say."  If anyone knew what Father God was thinking, it was Jesus Christ, God in human flesh.

Sheesh, at least try to know what your talking about with your retorts.

If we as Christians believe we have the truth, and that following Christ is the true way......sm
why are so many Christians so insecure? Why so paranoid? Don't you think Jesus will take care of it all? Where does it say that "we" have to be "dominant", Christianity is a lifetime philosphy, a way of life, a calling for the soul, why do you think we must be the most populous in the country? When Christianity started out it was a tiny, obscure "and left wing" type of religion, even labeled an insane cult, but it cretainly thrived, even with rabid Roman prosecution....God even put His seat on earth, supposedly, in Rome, is that no irony, and does it not show the might of the Lord? Perhaps the percentages will change in the future between the major religions, but in the end, belief of a higher power, belief in goodness, honesty, truth, kindness, charity, love, equity, righteousness, morals....all fo that was not "copywrited" from the Christians. Jesus, his family, his followers were all Jews, Jesus NEVER renounced Judaism, just the hypocritcal sects that had grown up in the temples, and the apostes saw Christianity as an addition of rules and precepts from the Master IN ADDITION to their Jewish heritage.....If we are strong in our faith, we should not worry about what percent of population is Christian.
I personally dont see O as the "anti-Christ",but

Two more and I'm done! Q. What's the difference between Jesus Christ and Barack Obama?

A. Jesus could assemble a cabinet.

Q: How many Obamunists does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None.  It's enough to hope that it gets changed.

I'm waiting to be called a racist.  I'm sure somewhere in that those jokes, some Obamunist will find racism.

I find it hard to believe that anyone would ever endeavor to speak for Christ. Nuff said. nm

True Christians strive to be Christ-like, loving, tolerant...sm
nonjudgemental, understanding, washing the feet of the lowliest citizen, feeding the hungry, living life without always saying me, me, me. I could think of a lot of adjectives that would describe what being a Christian means to me but I am seeing none of that here from people whose greatest claim is that they are devout Christians. I hear only fear, lies, hate, biogotry and defensiveness instead of love, truth, hope and light in Jesus name.
I came across this scripture today when I was studying. These are the words of Jesus Christ

from the book of Matthew Chapter 10 Verse 28:

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in he!!.

What was it that Oprah called Obama again?  The One?

I read the one only true Testament of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was infallible Lord....sm
and I am not, and thank you for calling attention to that; I was paraphrasing Paul in his letter to the Hebrews, but my point is still from my heart, the deceptions that went on during the former administration are still causing ruin and death as we speak, and if you chose laugh at me, that is fine, The flamers on this board love to feign superiority, which I belive is against the Bible as Pride, one of the 7 deadly sins, no? I was asking if posters who want to make inflammatory, ridulous remarks could just TRY to confine their comments and posts to pure facts, and then political discussions can bear fruit and have some intelligence and merit. I am working hard as I am writing this, so forgive me if distracted. It is all just noise, rhetoric, and one-upmanship otherwise, while the country crumbles further. Thanks for correcting me, I will double check Mr. Dunniger's quotes.
I think it all shows that Christianity is valued with the love of the dollar, not the love of Christ
