I am white and I have experienced the same things you have from SOME black people.  I expect black people have experienced the same from SOME white people.  It is time for ALL of us to get over judging people by the color of their skin and it is time for the blacks with a grudge to get over it and realize it was WHITE people who fought (and died) for their freedom.  Never mind that my G-Grandfather fought for the Confederacy.  I don't know what he was thinking.  I happen to know that he didn't own any slaves.  He died in the war.  His grandfather had freed his slaves before the war.  So maybe he was fighting for the Southern way of life.  I don't presume to know since I never knew him and I'm pretty old but not old enough to remember the Civil War first hand.
