Who has threatened you, PK? Who is stalking you? You were just called on the carpet, and you let your paranoia take it from there.
Nobody is stalking you, and you are perfectly safe.

I am not at all threatened!
I am just sick and tired of gays and lesbians thinking they have the right to discriminate against ME!
There are plenty of us that do not believe marriage is applicable except to a man and a woman, yet I am supposed to let someone else discriminate against us in order to push their agendas.
No way! You can love whomever you want, just don't try to push YOUR beliefs of what a marriage is off on me........ and yes, that is EXACTLY what you are doing!
I'm sick to death of hearing "discrimination" as if your lifestyle is somehow being discriminate against. If you want to live with someone of your same sex, then go ahead and do it and shut up about it.... I couldn't care less!
On the other hand, when, of course, that is not good enough for you either, you believe you can change the social fabric of society to suit YOU and scream discrimination. Did you ever think YOU are trying to discriminate against those that do NOT believe same sex is a marriage? Of course not!
You only want what you want when you want it and keep pushing and pushing, trying to convince people that God didn't intend man and woman to be married, not man and man or woman and woman.

I'm serious. WHO? I honestly don't know because I don't listen to them, either. But if they have aired similar threats upon a group of people, then I believe they are equally wrong.
If you are offended by my liberal beliefs being posted on the LIBERAL BOARD, then perhaps you would feel more comfortable on the Conservative Board. Just a thought.

I threatened to years ago, alone with
4 kids, middle of the night, was watching the doorknob turn, and had all the kids down on the floor because the neighborhood had gotten so bad we had training at home of what to do. I had the hammer back in my angie dickinson pose, but my knees were knocking so bad I wasn't sure they heard me threaten to fire through the door. I guess they did, because they left. OMG, I was petrified. Did shoot a snack once with my .38, 2/3 shots, my first one was a total miss.
I think you DO feel threatened. If a same-sex
in no way, shape or form changes what you have. It doesn't change your marriage, your relationship with your partner, your rights, your income, or your perception of what marriage should be. It may 'offend' you, but it changes nothing about your life.
However, by denying a couple other than yourself the right to marry, you ARE changing their lives, their perceptions, and many other aspects of their lives. You are putting them into a category of 2nd class citizens.
If you were an African-American woman, or a Japanese-American woman, a Native American woman, or any other group of society who has had their human rights stomped on in the past, you might have some inkling of an idea of what exactly it is you are proposing by saying a gay couple has no right to marry.
If all you have going for you in life is to sit in judgement of other people, then I feel very, very sorry for you. You have a very tiny little mind, and an even tinier little heart.
Did you ever stop to think that your hatred might just come back to haunt you after you die, and YOUR 'judgement day' rolls around? You should think long and hard about that possibility, Church-Lady.
I have a gun and have taken a safety course, but,
by the grace of God, I have not had to fire it for those reasons. I would if I felt it was necessary, though!

The fire safety argument is a lot of hooey.
Is it more of a fire hazard just because more than 15 people meet on a regular basis than if someone has a single party for 30 people?
As long as you and the other wiccans are clothed and no open-burning laws are being broken (in a residential area, that would be a fire hazard) I would have no particular problem with your rituals. Depending on the time of day/night and loudness of chanting, it might constitute a disturbance of the peace, same as a loud barbecue party in the neighborhood. But with the basic concept of your meeting, no big deal.

to clarify - the baby's safety is the first thing I thought of that was worrisome..
it appeared tacky to me to use the baby in such a way. When I re-read my post I guess it could have been taken differently than it was meant. anywho - it is not a choice I would have made as a mother...

I didn't vote for Obama, I was one of those on the fencers. But I must say one thing I am impressed with so far is his complete overhaul of the US food safety system and the new rule of no downed cows being put into our food system.
Some things should just be common sense, and they weren't being implemented. Good job Obama!
credit for safety = credit for 9/11
If Bush wants takes credit for keeping us "safe" from terrorist attacks since 9/11, then he has to take credit for the fact that we experienced the largest terrorist attack in US history under his presidency, as well. He can't have it both ways!
