Frankly, Im not laughing right now, just shaking my head. Forget my *old posts*. Truly you and some others have misunderstood my posts as they were strong, so I have toned them down for days now and have tried to be polite and kept it at debate level, nothing more, nothing less. You, however, just keep attacking everything I say. I could say the moon is out tonight and you would say, *no it isnt, I dont know why you think that, you are a lunatic*. Give it a break.
First off, chill out.
Secondly, why is it that all these big businesses and banks that were irresponsible can get help, but average day people can't?
I did buy a house I can afford. I did get a straight fixed rate mortgage even after I was offered an ARM. I have never been late on a mortgage payment. But, I'll be honest. Since the economy has gotten so bad, and since my husband works in the construction business, and since the files have slowed down and/or gone overseas, times are getting a bit tight.
So again, if these irresponsible banks and businesses can get bailed out, why can it not be filtered through the average citizen first? Why should we all continue to tighten our belts and lose our homes even after being responsible and watch them get handed a big fat check and GO ON VACATION WITH IT?

Now I'm even angrier than I was when I wrote the above post, and I can't even imagine how you must feel, actually knowing people involved in 9/11. I didn't know anyone involved in it, and yet the tragedy made me feel as if I did. I couldn't even BEGIN to imagine what it must have been like for the families and friends of the victims.
I remember actually feeling PROUD of Bush as he stood out there with that megaphone, as if he actually WAS one of "us." I think everyone was in his corner as he invaded Afghanistan. I even supported the invasion of Iraq, believing most of what he said, although there was a little voice deep down inside that didn't quite "buy" it. Now it's very clear why I didn't.
But to use 9/11 to further his own personal agenda is just monstrous and unforgiveable. I hope every single Bush groupie reads your post. Maybe they will begin to see the man for what he really is, although I doubt it.
I used to think Clinton was phony, carrying his Bible to church every Sunday. At least he didn't lead us into a war the "God told him" to do.
He claims to be a uniter, yet he's done nothing but divide this country to an extent I've never seen in my life.
When we have our next 9/11 (and it's inevitable), I believe it will be even worse than the first one. Only this time, sadly, I think the outrage against Bush will be the loudest it's ever been, especially if it's the result of something the 9/11 Commission warned about and was ignored by this moron.
What's really funny is that another 4,000 people could be killed in this country, and his groupies wouldn't care and would still be all over him. But let him appoint one moderate conservative to the Supreme Court, and they'll be out for blood. They're already threatening him regarding Gonzales. These court nominations are going to be very interesting.
I just hope that we all can survive the next 3-1/2 years of this. Unfortunately, whoever follows Bush will inherit a huge deficit and a quagmire for maybe decades to come.
