yourself from Mr. Phelps. Fred Phelps is not an example of a real Christian. What he is running out there is nothing more than a cult. you are going to find good and bad in everything and Fred Phelps is the extreme of anything and he does not represent ANYTHING that is Christian. He brings shame and reproach upon the name of Christ. I wonder sometimes if his punishment is going to be extra because he is hiding behind the name of God and doing what he does. No real Christian would ever associate themselves with this group.

I'm not talking about distancing...
But the obvious flip-flops, many of them recorded on video in his own words. For example not supporting the troop surge, claiming it would not work and then later stating he did support it and knew it would work. Sometimes they quoted his own statements to him and he denied ever saying them. Only time will tell if he is a good leader, but I've seen nothing to indicate it.

Also, Bush's victory in 2004 was regarded as a tight race. This one should have been a landslide for the Democrats and I don't think anyone can call it that.
