sub q intended meaning subcutaneous.  The q has been mistaken for every.  Use "subcut" or write subcutaneous. 


I am not sure which would be correct BOS, Joint Commission or this Institute of Safe Medical Practices, but I can guarantee that this is where the Joint Commission would get their information from, and most hospitals are Joint Commission reviewed and inspected.  Clinics, I'm not sure..

It means no biopsy or imaging or other testing was done, but on palpation, lymph nodes felt swollen.

If you have ever gotten very sick and it turned out to be strep throat, mumps or mononucleosis, and maybe before going to the MD, your neck hurt, so you reached up and found your nodes to be swollen. Your MD would call these clinically swollen lymph nodes. :o)
