hypertriglyceremia or hypertriglyceridemia?
Subject: hypertriglyceremia or hypertriglyceridemia?

It sounds like the doctor is saying "hypertriglyceremia" but I can't really find anything and google says "hypertriglyceridemia". So is "hypertriglyceridemia" the right one even though I'm hearing "hypertriglyceremia"?

It is under the impression. He states:
1. Hypercholesterolemia. We will trial the patient on ??. I know I hear "asa" at the end. The patient has had trouble with statins, and he says he will wait until a new drug comes around. So I am not sure if this is actually a medication or some kind of supplement.
usually it would be hypercholesterolemia
Subject: usually it would be hypercholesterolemia

but if the doctor dictates "hypercholesterol", then I would type what he says.  They make up words all the time, and I would type it as one word.

Since there are so many different transcription platforms, you can't always program in the 1/2 symbol and typing it like that - 1/2 - is clumsy and can be unclear when read. The guidelines at my last in-house job were to convert it to decimal if possible.
