Clue=there's no DVT in the LOWER or DISTAL extremity, but there IS thrombus in the GSV which is located in the UPPER or PROXIMAL extremity...and it extends from PROXIMAL down to upper calf....

But really, he said it three times in the report and the "de" part was clear.  I put in blanks.

In this op note, the doctor says a "one five recon plate" was trimmed to the appropriate length, and I placed a "one five" screw distally.  Would you agree this should be transcribed as 1.5 (as in mm).  He didn't say mm, and I won't go so far as to put mm in the report.

MRI of the right knee:  Anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments are visualized and appear normal.  Lateral and medial collateral ligaments are visualized and appear within normal limits.  Osseous structures show no s/l "u-me-gal" edema.  There appears to be moderate effusion best seen on axial images.

tibial wasn't clear...also sounded like it could have been 'through the'

I googled the whole phrase proximal tibial medial compartment, but got no results. I have never heard those words put together like that before. Any suggestions?
