I can't find any references anywhere but he is saying it very clearly, sounds like dexi. TIA.

Does the patient have diabetes? He/she could be referring to the Dexi-Stick. It's what they poke your finger with to measure blood sugar.
I believe it is Dexi-stick blood sugar.
