in response to this message. The e-mail just said "Thanks", and I wanted to clarify that this is not an answer to anyone's post, but rather is a question that I had . . . BTW, it was not an eye exam after all -- he was saying, "Dip UA is negative."

S1 and S2 refer to the heart sounds, S1 for first, S2 for second.  The phrase the dictator is referring to is an S2 split, which is an abnormal second heart sound which can indicate several different abnormalities.  He just said S splitting instead of S2 splitting from what was indicated in the question.  You can find all kinds of information under S2 split.
So why didn't you just put the correct spelling in your first e-mail? .sm

I actually browse the word board in my off hours looking for things I may not know, and in this case you can bet I added "Benirschke" to my word book.

I may never have it in any of my reports, but if I do that's one word I know I will have trouble finding, so it is now written in my references!!

Have a great day.

Subject: Your posted reply....SM...if you missed it in your e-mail inbox...

For your info.

--I haven't done ops in more than 15 yrs.

--I was hired to do discharge summaries. Instead, I was started on this new job tonight with 5 dictations to start. The first 3 up were--OPS!!!.

--There was no one to call at the company to look into or correct this situation at this hour, so I decided to forge ahead and do my best regardless.

--I posted asking for help, not for someone to be snide and to tell me how wrong I am and how they're not going to type it for me.

--In future, do us both a favor: Don't reply to any of my posts. I certainly won't be reading or replying to any of yours and I promise not to miss you--regardless of whether you have the guts to sign your real name or not.

I helped her too, sent a private e-mail way before you posted. Pats on the back all around! NM

I get instant messaging and stay in touch with the office that way, and I immediately get STATS, questions, or problems, really good system, free to set up. I try to check here as much as I can! Please feel free, I had several MTs mentor me, and would love to do the same, if I can!
