I have a dr. that has an accent.  I think he is sayin ion iron.  Has anyone had an ESL dr. say who says ion iron instead of just saying iron?  Just wondering if maybe I'm hearing it wrong.......

iron studies

Iron studies were normal except that his B and C were negative.


This is under abnormal liver function test, most likely fatty liver disease.


When I google I get hepatitis B and C info. Help clear my confusion!

ER is extended release. It appears ER is the official way with glipizide, and yet SR would be just as clear to other MDs. So if you are supposed to correct, use ER. If you are supposed to transcribe verbatim, just give it to him, IMO.

1) Hemoglobin and hematocrit are low at 11 and 33, and iron stores s/l  "in percent saturation" is also low.


2) I requested complete CBC with pathology s/l "steri B slide".
