Well, actually just noticed something else
Subject: Well, actually just noticed something else

It does say in there at one point that I didn't notice before that up to 10 mg a day could be required.  The pills don't come in 5 mg doses though if that means anything.
This is what I noticed--
Subject: This is what I noticed--

My VR now automatically types it as hypercholesteremia, spellcheck accepts that spelling plus I looked it up in a few dictionaries and that is shown as an alternative spelling.  Had never noticed this before......

yeah - I've noticed!
Subject: yeah - I've noticed!

I've already found myself either sticking up for others, or myself, during my few days on this board - some people can really be out of line. I am looking forward to helping though - especially the new MTs - if they do well and look good, we (American MTs) in turn look good as a group. I would like to dedicate some of my time each day to just browse by and see if any help is needed out there - believe me - I have plenty of time with all the standby during the final days at Heartland :) Anyhow, Thank you for helping me focus my efforts in the right direction!

Has anyone noticed this when posting on the word board?
Subject: Has anyone noticed this when posting on the word board?

It's a minor annoyance....but when you go to the verification page, do you have to click in the box to put in the letter/number combination?

On the other boards, the cursor is already there. I can't tell you how many times I have glanced at the code, entered it without looking at the screen, then hit "enter", only to get an error message and have to enter a new code. I finally started paying attention and as far as I can tell, this is the only board that does that.

As I said, minor but annoying.....wanted to see if anyone else has experienced that.

It's hard to judge these things without hearing them - I went with what was closest to the sentence provided. While the patient could have been "dyspneic-looking like a patient with COPD or sleep apnea," that just didn't sit right with my gut.

I am doing an op report: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy with operative cholangiograms.  The doctor clearly says diagnosIS, although I know they do that all the time and then give numbered lists, so I know not to count on that. For the diagnosis, she says "Chronic cholecystitis, cholelithiasis."  She runs them together just like that, no pause in between or anything.

Do these go together the way I have them now, as one diagnosis just separated with a comma?  Should I have them separated and numbered instead?

I have no samples to go on and I've never done one of these before. What do you seasoned surgery pros think?

Another question. SM
Subject: Another question. SM

This also pertains to the other question I asked.  This doctor is driving me CRAZY.  The audio quality is horriblel - sounds like he is using a can and a string rather than a PHONE.  AARRGGHH.  <deep breath>

Entire sentence:

"There is a suggestion of a horseshoe configuration of the kidneys with s/l TALLULAH-FORM shaped tissue extending anterior to the s/l AR-AY-LA."
