in the background dictating away calling the instrument he was using during his procedure "the green doo-hickey with the spring" and just kept dictating away as if nothing.  The poor transcriptionist who got that report went with my blessing.  You wonder where they got their medical license at...

may be just too new to have much info on.  I did see an article on Google with the Oakland Bone and Joint Specialists, where he and a colleague, Dr. Jeffrey Mann, were pioneering a new total ankle replacement.  This is copyrighted for 2007-2008, so maybe he has developed dressings, bandages and such. 


I'm gonna save this one, and if I do find it verified in any medical books, etc., will send you a message about it.  Thanks for sharing!

there is a Roger Mann Award from the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, but I see nothing about a Roger Mann dressing.  There is a Robert Jones dressing however.  Sorry could not be more help.

... and I gave the patient 50 "mikes" of whatever medication.  One said to spell it m-i-q-u-e-s, one said to use m-i-k-e-s, and one hospital said not to use it at all. So, does it stand for micrograms?  Should we use slang?  Aghh!  Help, please.

I have a verbatim account, but even if I didn't, I still would not change it to 20/0 as that lone "0" could be mistaken as something else.
