on page 776 of Stedman's Surgery Words, 2nd edition, under Toldt, is white line of... QA affects your record with the company, not to mention the principal involved -- i would send QA the info (being professional of course) with a blind cc to the MT mgr or someone else.

an MT or QA person (who has no experience in lab)only know that they were taught as far as transcription. As the other poster said, the letter I is actually a roman numeral 1. thats why many people relate to A1c rather than AIc, which is very understandable, so of course you wouldn't be marked for it. no one i know has been corrected for either use.

YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY :P

    Hi,

My QA person marked only 7 items tramscribed wrong--don't know how that could be, but I'm not gonna' argue with her, lol.

Two of the dictators were ESL's, which didn't help matters. But it turns out that my 3rd was an absolute dreaaaaam boat of a dictator, almost made me want to tough it out and do more ops...probably NOT.

Thanks for all your attempts to help and give support regardless.

    Sentence reads:

Smear was reviewed and showed macrocytes, occasional macrocytic cells, but not hyperchromic, occasional basophilic stippling, a few polys with 4-5 lobes but none with more than 5 lobes and less than 20% has 5 lobes, no granulation of her polys, no S/L Pelletier-Hewett cells?
