Subject: Jami, you might want to try E-bay
for some used Stedman's books. Sometimes you can find gently used for cheaper than buying new. Another site for medical books that are a little cheaper is www.amazon.com. I'm a Stedman's lover myself and find them to be very helpful. The one I like other than the specialty ones is the Medical Speller. It is general, but I really find a lot in there. It just seems quicker sometimes than thumbing through a huge medical dictionary. The other thing that I used to do when I started out was just jot quick notes down and then when I had the time, I would the terms up in a medical dictionary just to kind of grasp the meaning of the term. I was mentored by someone who made me look everything up. Thank goodness! She taught me well!
