I had the opportunity of seeing of Mrs. S in my office today for treatment of her multiple sclerosis with the agent Novantrone. Her diagnosis was made 12 years ago with both sides of segmental demyelination detected. She has ________ waxing and waning course; but apparently she has never been in remission. She has now developed progressive disease, but typically with weakness and atrophy of her lower extremities; sometimes exceeding marked _______________.
