Well you're typing it incorrectly which is why

many MTs fail tests.  MTs type according to their supervisor's instruction (whether right or wrong) and when they test - they fail because of it.  That's why these small companies are horrible for newbies.  They teach them incorrectly.

after doing a google search for gram-negative, lactose-negative rods.  Basically testing organisms to see if they ferment lactose (positive) or not (negative).


Also, just FYI, gram-negative is not capitalized.

Found several references (looks likely same source) stating "cam" comes from Dutch word meaning "cog" (although a Babelfish translation gives a word that looks nothing like "cam").  It appears to meet not to meet criteria for capitalization.  Any ideas?

However, you will see a variation on the typing of BIRADS depending on who you are typing it for.  The copyright lists it as BI-RADS, federal guidlines are supposed to dictate how it is typed but have worked for numerous centers that type it anywhere from BIRADS to BI-RADS to BiRADS.  Categories however should always be arabic (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 0)

Here is a definition that I found for isotype...

isotype. An immunoglobulin heavy or light chain class or subclass characterized by antigenic determinants (isotypic markers) in the constant region. Every normal individual expresses all of the isotypes of its species.
