Subject: Pls see msg - this is the PE

The patient is point tender in the area of his proximal phalanx at the base. No significant middle phalanx or distal phalanx pain. He is motor and sensory intact into that digit. Full range of motion passively without any evidence of 'inscissoring' or rotational deformity. He barely, actively, can flex at the palm, but he has some pain at the proximal phalanx, but once again no evidence of any rotational instability.
