Subject: Those standards have mistakes all the time. I don' t think it is supposed to be capped, but you are

not supposed to change anything in a standard. You would probably be better off flipping a coin! I would leave it, and if they ding you, just tell them that is how it was in standard.

Some doctors refer to standards or macros by number.  If you're not sure, I would send this on to QA to be filled in correctly.  These are obviously some macros or standards that he is referring to.

I personally have one doc that always pronounces centimeters as sonometers. The first time I heard that, I had to check my reference books as I thought there was something there I was not aware of, but that is just the way he pronouces it. I always put centimeters though. funny how every doc is different.

Very large stones, those 3 centimeters (about one inch) or more in diameter, may require several ESWL treatments to break up completely or may produce such a large volume of fragments that they block the ureter. This condition is called "steinstrasse," (a German word meaning "street of stone")

cc.  I have the latest BOS and BOS workbook and I'm still confused.

My account has a few doctors whose work is automatically sent to QA.  I thought we were no longer supposed to use cc and change it to mL.  I had  marked as error when I changed doctor stated cc to mL.  I then asked one of the mentors on my account and she stated mL is used for what goes into the patient, IV, blood products, etc., and cc is used for what comes out of the patient, urine etc.

Is there any consensus on this?  I trust all of you here.
