as they often say interval  (procedure) prior to another procedure etc. Does that make sense??  Sorry. Trying to help. May be it though.

I hate abbreviations.

The only thing that shows up in my cardiology book is adenosine diphosphage, and that doesn't tell me what the next NP or and P would mean. I wish they'd just say what they mean instead of abbreviating, because if I can't figure them out I'm blanking them.

    PR interval is the segment on an EKG that begins with the P wave until the beginning of the QRS SM

    QRS complex.  So if you have a shortened PR interval, then a diagnosis for Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome could be made.
