The patient is having a hip replacement.  Doctor wants him to have a s/l self-focalized, localized ? bone marrow scan to check for infection.  Thanks for any help.

The patient has been treated sucessfully for claudication.  Has not had noninvasive studies as of yet.  Doc will check followup ABI's. 


Is this ABI, AVI.  I am not able to find either in Stedman's books (I looked in two) and also tried to use Google.

Reveals abnormal hypermetabolism in the lymph nodes in the neck, more right than left including ?factitious learning of the thyroid?, in the anterior mediastinum as well large expansile right rib lesion.  Bone scan reveals uptake in the right lateral 7th and 8th ribs.

I may be wrong, but this just doesn't seem quite right. I've copied and pasted the definition from my Stedman's electronic dictionary.

The occurrence of patches of yellow color in the skin, resembling xanthoma, but without the nodules or plates. Syn: yellow disease, yellow skin(1), xanthoderma(1).
s/l "Entocho" showing contractions every 5 mins.

Patient had a CVA. He also had an MRA at that time, which showed a hyperplastic? hypoplastic? artery, and no aneurysms.  (I think artery mentioned is carotid.)
