In Reply to: My MD dictates all the time, "perimenopausal symptoms" I can't document. Should I type it - What would you do? NM TIA

Subject: What would you do?

Perimenopausal is correct. This is the period of years prior to the onset of menopause and can begin 10 or more years prior to onset of menopause. The doctor could also mean premenopausal, but if he says perimenopausal, I would put it. Perimenopausal usually refers to a longer period of time than premenopausal.
