Are you kidding me with this? You're doing all this arguing and your source is a TEXTBOOK? Or better yet, what the doctor says? Rule #1...the doctors say things wrong ALL THE TIME! That's what we're here for...to fix it.

Prosthetic hip reduction. The term s/l "joo-DAY" views - ??? Thank you for any help.

Following reduction of the hip, single AP fluoroscopy view revealed that the femoral head sat eccentrically in the acetabulum, and this could simply be consistent with poly wear given the large number of dislocations she has sustained. Therefore, _____ (s/l joo-DAY) views, both internal and external oblique views of the right hip were obtained, which confirmed indeed the femoral head was seated in the cup and not anterior or posterior to the cup.

It is just the "old way" of spelling it, just like orthopaedics and orthopedics.

One such example is the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.  To an orthopod, this is the correct of spelling it and not "orthopedics" but both are accepted as correct by the general populace.  There are places that still use Paediatrics as opposed to Pediatrics, but they are still both right.  Just spell it like your QA wants.  Every account is different and every client has their own likes and dislikes. Through Wheeless it would be Roman numerals.
