Yes.  The orthopedics office that I used to schedule for always called it hold and call. But, I did have one ortho that said cal and hold. 

It simply means that the patient will have the MRI, CT, doppler, etc.,usually within a 24 hour period, but before the hospital, imaging center, etc will release the patient to leave, they must call physician with results and orders.
