Subject: Yes I did

What is the difference between the two. The doctor is saying liagmenta flava and I always throught it was ligamentum flavum. But as I read the diffence between them one is the pleural form and one is the singular. He was reading as the singular form, but with it being two between two discs, would this be one or two?

I am confused. LOL

Thanks for the help.
