stedman's abbr uses "proTime", "alk phos" (not alk phos), "crit", and "O2 sat" therefore, although it does not sound medically professional, technically, you ARE allowed to use these UNLESS specs say otherwise.

as far as being consistent, i know mts who actually use these abbreviations A LOT as those are what a lot of doctors use, AND THEY DO NOT GET PENALIZED for this either. if they're in the books, people will use them.
