No, I'm not afraid to post who I really am, but there's no need to. I didn't really mean to offend you, and I just felt I was stating the facts. I'm sorry.

Your email with the expletive was really, really rude, and I've reported it to the board moderator. If it's not from you but from a supporter, then I apologize for jumping to the wrong conclusion.

There is no other mention of the *gram in the report, either, so that is no help. Definitly not phlebogram. I am wondering if maybe she is saying A radiogram? Would like to know what you think. Thank you for your help

Subject: We learn every day -- don't be afraid to ask your QA why? ..see msg

I'v been doing this for quite a few years, and last night had a report where I heard "Shoreman kyphosis," researched and found quite a few websites spelled this way, didn't really check to see source of websites, just that there were a LOT of them. (slap me with a wet noodle, I was tired and brain-dead because I know better)

Anyway, QA send me an email this morning with correct spelling, "Scheuermann kyphosis." citing Dorlands online.

You can bet I created a shorthand entry for that spelling immediately, and of course, sent of an email to my QA person letting her know how much I appreciated the feedback -- I never have questioned my research without the feedback!

Have a great day.

Subject: I just checked my feedback

and before I e-mail my PS, I wanted to see if I was wrong.  I researched but seems I was right.  I was corrected for using Entero Vu contrast - I was told it is Enteroview.  According to Stedman's it is Entero Vu plus I have been Radiology for 10 years and always used this spelling.  I was also corrected on using centimeters per second - I use cm/s but was corrected to cm/sec.  Any help on these?  Thanks!

after doing a google search for gram-negative, lactose-negative rods.  Basically testing organisms to see if they ferment lactose (positive) or not (negative).

Also, just FYI, gram-negative is not capitalized.

Probably too late, I'm sure.  Better late than never, I guess.

Me neither. Evidently, it is some kind of subculture they test for when going through sensitivity protocols. I think we don't hear this because ususally Gram-positive cultures sensitive to whatever is as far as an MD typically documents this with the possible exception of ID MDs.
