"It's another one of those undocumentable words that are becoming commonly used."

The only reason these words make it into the medical language is because some people don't know how to research to find the correct word.  It is called the proliferation of a mistake and when gone unchecked (because of ignorance) words like these become "sanctioned."

Other proliferated mistakes that I have seen include neuroforamina and ostiomeatal to name just two more but there are many I cannot think of at the moment.

A good medical dictionary and reliable resources will help to stop this trend.

Subject: Duroziez pulse is correct !!

Phyllis ... Thank you so much!!  The name Duroziez is correct, and it goes along with Quincke - another type of pulse.  I wish the people these things are named after had easier sounding names!!  I appreciate your help on this very much, as this doctor does not like to be bothered and expects me to know every medical word.

Take care, Judy H
