pages 270-271, actually has good information on how to type normal saline and why so pharmacy doesn't misinterpret.  ~D5 in half-normal saline~  I would put 20 of potassium since I expand all medications for hospital account but not allowed to add anything such as mEq.  On the other hand, do refer to your account specs.  I was on a clinic account a little while back that would not allow expanding anything, had the most bizarre abbreviations, but that's their perogative, I guess, as clinic and not hospital and if they want things to look that way
