Really, it seems as though your panties might be wadded just a bit. Some posters are just looking for extra help, and as a veteran MT I am more than happy to help, particularly new MTs. However, if it irritated me to do so, I would not remain logged on. Try to have yourself a pleasant day!

I leave my browser open and just refresh the Word Board page, and every time I reply ("quick" reply) I still have to validate email.

I use Firefox, FWIW.

I really mean no disrespect by this. I have been in this field for 25 years, and without extensive searching independently, you will not gain the wealth of knowledge to keep the pace. Please be thankful you have the internet, as we had to rely solely on books in the past. Talk about time consuming. I continue to learn daily, but the internet has made it so much more productive for us.

MIC-KEY or Mic-Key gastrostomy button?
Subject: MIC-KEY or Mic-Key gastrostomy button?

I have found it both ways online.  It's not in Stedman's GI words.  Have had this corrected from MIC-KEY to Mic-Key by QA and then I started doing Mic-Key only to have another QA change it back to MIC-KEY.  ????

Advice - 'mickey button'?
Subject: Advice - 'mickey button'?

Just out of curiosity, how do you type 'mickey button'?  As it sounds, as it sounds but capitalized, the apparently patented way of MIC-KEY button (as on the product's website), or yet another way?  I keep seeing this typed all different ways and was wondering if there's some universally preferred method of which I'm not aware.

TIA

Assuming you are working in Word, you can add a button to your toolbar
Subject: Assuming you are working in Word, you can add a button to your toolbar

Go to Tools, at the bottom of the meun there is a customize button, click it. Once you are there open the Command tab.  You will see a list of categories on the left and commands on the right.  Click on the format category and you will see all of the format buttons you can add to your tool bar...  about 1/2 way down you will see the superscript and subscript buttons...  Click on the superscript and drag it to your toolbar.  I usually try to put it with like buttons, like the bold, underline and such.  The button should insert into your toolbar and now when you need to superscript a number you can just click on that button before you type it.  you do have to remember to click the button off after you have typed the superscripted character.

Hope this helps..

CC: Back pain
Subject: CC: Back pain

Thanks for taking the time on this . . .

While the CC: is back pain, the subjective describes . . .

This is an 81-year-old female who, for the last month, has had some intermittent pain next to her right shoulder blade. She is right-handed, and she has been doing a lot of gardening and weed whacking. It does not bother her much during the day, but at night when she sits, and then when she is lying in bed at night, she feels what she describes as a muscle spasm with twinges. She also at times has some diffuse pain from her elbow radiating up to her neck when she “overdoes it”, but that has been going on for quite some time, and she does not feel like that has recently changed.
