Ugh, having a bad day.  This patient may be needing a toe amputation, but doc wants to try what sounds like "hydroback" option in the interim.  I'm clueless here.

Okay so so ? on the Spell Checker.. I have two words that are coming back under my spell checker as spelled wrong but I looked them up on a Rx Website for one and the other on the medical abbreviation website they are

Problem with header/footer. I have created a MS Word template that has both a header and a footer that should appear on page 1 only. My problem is that when I have to go on to page 2, I have to manually delete both the Page 2 header and footer. Any help? 

When I was learning how to do the headers and footers, it said that to have the header and footer appear only on page 1, you should - when going onto to a second page, do a section break when starting page 2; then you can use the header/footer menu feature "link to previouis" (or rather, you actually want to "unlink" the page 2 header from the page 2 header (and likewise for the footer). But when I do this, I still have to go into the header (and then the footer), highlight the text, and delete it.  I'm trying to figure it out so I can just type the document and not have to worry about deleting the page 2 header, etc.

Can anyone tell me if I have the form of the word malleoli correct in this sentence.  Should it be malleoli or malleolus in this sentence.  The doc is saying malleoli, but it sounds funny to me.  Here is the sentence:

She has mild edema to the left ankle with mild tenderness over the bilateral malleoli, a little more prominent over the lateral malleoli, just anterior.

is this correct?  POLYPHASIA????  Isn't POLYPHAGIA having to do with eating/swallowing?  I can't find anything in google relating to urination or GU system.....

Can anyone tell me the correct spelling for s/l "geri" psychiatric unit...is it geripsychiatric unit or geropsychiatric unit? Thanks

Initially the patient had had hypertension and dehypertensives were held.

The word dehypertensives is not a real word.  Does anyone use this word?  I love how doctors make up words.

Is it step down unit or stepdown unit. I'm thinking one work but would love to know for sure.
