in bracket metallic?
Subject: in bracket metallic?

I don't want to sound dumb here, but does "in bracket metallic" mean that the procedure involved some sort of metallic bracket, or am I supposed to type the words using some sort of brackets?  I have never heard of bracket metallic before.  Thanks!

Sentence is:  Past medical history included s/p aortic valve replacement and s/p mitral valve replacement in bracket metallic, on Coumadin.

I find a Bio-FASTak® Suture Anchor and a Bio-Phase™ II 2.0 mm Suture Anchor. Does it sound like either of these. Look here for more information http://www.medcompare.com/matrix/1648/Absorbable-Suture-Anchors.html

He injured his ankle several years ago and had the procedure by Dr. ___ in an attempt to stabilize the lateral ankle S/L__ indo complex. This involved some S/L talic anchors it replaced.

Would it be metallic anchors? the ending it replaced doesn't sound like it fits, but that is what he says.

TIA

later in report I think he says he places **2X left 2 suture anchors**. One lateral and one medial.

I'm not sure if this is correct though.  Operative reports are pretty new for me.
