Well, periaortic means surrounding or adjacent to the aorta. Pericaval (caval is relating to vena cava) could be used as a combo word I think.

I can't find pericaval in either Stedman's Words and Phrases, medical
dictionary, or OneLook Dictionary. I do find it as a phrase "pericaval
regions" all over Google Scholar and Google, but are those reliable
sources? Do they want precaval, which is in both dictionaries?
