sanguinous or sanguineous??
Subject: sanguinous or sanguineous??

Upon looking them up in my incredibly heavy Dorland's medical dictionary (and probably given myself a hernia in the process), I can't tell the difference between the two.  It seems like they mean the same thing.  Does anyone know which is correct?  The doc is referring to discharge being "sanguineous/sanguinous," meaning not bloody. But that's as far as I can figure it out. Help!!

sanguineous ??? Is there blood in the nostrils?
