I, personally, am not into *slangability*. I prefer to use proper grammar in my reports. I will change what the doctor says to be correct grammar. These are legal documents and we are supposedly being paid for our knowledge of grammar. Just because a knowledgeable doctor does not know the correct way to verbalize the ability to bruise, does not mean we have to show ignorance and type what he says. It would be my guess that QA would change it anyway, after it is sent to them and since it is not necessarily an error on the transcriptionists part, you would never hear about it. this is just my opinion, though.
