For 20-cm:  BOS 2 used hyphens, but I believe BOS 3 drops hyphens as below (I don't own BOS 3, so someone correct me if I'm wrong).


Changes of the BOS from the 2nd addition.

1. Dropping the use of hyphens with numeric values and metric units when forming compound modifiers.

Meaning- when writing a numeric value with its metric unit - you do not have to modify it at all in any circumstance.

2 cm incision rather than 2-cm incision.


For 6-French:


As per BOS, this is correct (page 182).


For double-pigtail catheter:


As per The Surgical Word Book, this is also correct, needs hyphen
