I've heard a doc order his new loaded Lexus on his cell phone when he laid the phone down while dictating.  Sounded like he was gettin' a pimpin' ride!  I have also heard love making between a doctor and nurse (they were both married to other people).  Ooohh, aahhhh.  It was years ago, but was so funny.  Sorry, just had to share......

Because the next line is *Only other hospitalization is an appendectomy 13 years ago.* But what he is saying does not at all sound like appendectomy.

That's what I've got right now but it looks ridiculous.
Too funny. I was going to say the same thing.

The one person that "corrected" everything is gone.  I sent every single piece of garbage that she emailed me with to my supervisor.  Who has time for nonsense?  It was obvious this QA person felt she was "in control" or something because her feedback was ridiculous.

I haven't been fired either.  Go figure.

Actually, that just reminded me of the surgeon who performed my cholecystectomy. The nurse accidently called him by his last name and he refused to acknowledger her until she apologized and called him Dr. X. Since I was the patient, and we were social friends, I completely gave him crap about it. He ended up apologizing to the nurse. lol

If I see it's a trademark registered item, I transcribe it like the manufacturer's website (like one see's on the product itself) and in this case, for me, it would be CAM Walker

for YEARS and then someone dictating will make you question it.  This PA insists every time that it is A and not E.  I finally had my lead MT call the hospital to tell her that averted eyelids is wrong!  Thanks again.

I am trying to find out what exactly CHAD (as in the score for predicting stroke risk) stands for-anyone know??

Funny thing-l was checking Medilexicon for it and it also stands for "Chinese Hamsters with Spontaneous Diabetes" and "Chinese Hamsters of the Asahikawa Colony" although these do not match the letters in the acronym.  My son and I were just laughing it up over this one and wondering if some country funded a study somewhere to study hamsters in China who spontaneously develop Diabetes!

Is anyone else old enough to remember that some typewriters had a special key for 1/2 and 1/4 (you used the shift key to get the 1/4)? I remember being thrilled that I could type it properly! I think it was the one that currently has ` and ~.
