Balloon up
Subject: Balloon up

Hello,

Hope everyone is staying warm today! I am looking for help with the term "balloon up." I have searched but have been unable to find if this is the correct term or not.

The Dr. says "he had attempted to remove his Foley catheter at home with a balloon up and with result to worsening of his bleeding".

I am 100% sure that is what he says. I am trying to find the definition or see if it needs to be hyphenated. Thanks for any help. Stay warm.

A Foley has a tip on it that can be inflated to hold it in place. And if the patient tried to remove Foley without deflating the balloon, bleeding is definitely a possibility. Hope this helps.

maybe (adv); meaning......
Subject: maybe (adv); meaning......

perhaps, possibly, or uncertainty.......may (n) be (v) used this way means might. However, when used either way, they both mean might.  In so far as deciding which one to use,  I would look at the context of the sentence and use the grammatically correct one. Hope I didn't confuse you even more.
