I'm sorry, but all of the posters are right. The worst is the communication, and next is the brok

promises of more work that never comes. You are hired for an account which is not that great and then they want to put you on another account that is worse and requires a C-phone, more training, etc.. and it is not even what you were hired for. The account you are supposed to be on is constantly overhired on so you have no work. Nice.. I am sooooo down the road...

Definitely the worst at communication!!
If you have problems, oh well.. If you have a complaint, oh well... If you check is always penalized, oh well... If you have realized that the line counts NEVER add up with ANY program, oh well.. Now, you get the idea.  They could care less. There is a reason why people from other countries should not run an American business. They have no idea what your saying or care and you cannot get through to them in PLAIN ENGLISH because they do not understand that language. They only understand "PENALIZE" that is their favorite word. I am sorry but I had to vent.
Worst job I ever had. Poor communication,
Horrible platform. After 24 years in this business, I knew they were not a good fit for me.
Getting the worst shift and worst work are two different things...
If you are new, you may not get the best shift, but everyone should share in the difficult work. No one person should be stuck with ESLs because they are new. Maybe the new hires won't get first pick of holidays...things like that, but shouldn't get stuck with all ESLs. Doesn't make sense.
Worst of the worst...I agree with RUN
Please - don't learn the hard way!  You will only waste your time and run the risk of not making anything to boot unless you have a relative who is a big city lawyer.  Under the sugar coating is something very bitter.
Of course you mean No communication.
x
Don't do it! Bad communication there.

Bad platform and bad pay.

Communication
Ha-Some would beg to differ.  Was told we were going to get  ShortHand page to help new employees create shorthand dictionaries as this was new to us, haven't gotten, told we were going to be reimbursed for Shorthand, haven't seen that either and this came from the top, not a lead.
TT pay and communication
About the pay issue I don't float checks or set up electronic transactions because, who knows the bank computer system could crash in the interim. When I SEE it I pay bills. Anyway it's due on Monday so I don't count on it before then.

About the communication, I don't see why they need to communicate anything about this, they already informed us they were taking it in house, they did not say they were changing the pay date, so what's the big deal about this anyway? It has to be up to the bank because they pay everybody at the same time, but it hits people's banks at different times, anywhere from Friday to Monday so it HAS to be the bank reponsible for tht.

About the communication they answer only the emails they want to answer and ignore the rest which is about 75% of them. I don't email them much and I also don't get an answer much.

Still Transtech is the best company I have ever worked for.
communication
Case in point - when some of us were told we were going to start doing VR (at a lower pay rate) I think many if not most of us got jittery and nervous. Some were on here wondering if they should look for another job. Then we got a conference call in which the owner talked to us about what was going on, why we were starting this VR, the cost breakdown, her concerns but also hopes for it, heard experiences of those who had tried it, and I think most of us felt a lot better after that call. The owner didn't say she was excited about the new VR or promise that we'd all love it or make a ton of money on it. She was honest about her concerns about it and about why we were doing it and that's what we really needed to hear to steady us - honest communication about the situation.
to posters above and below...
Stick to your guns and make it crystal clear that you want the HOSPITAL employee position.  That was also my experience.  I like my hospital employee gig.  E-mail me if you wish!
Job Posters

Do you all notice some of these job postings: *experienced, reliable and conscientious MT. Testing required* and then go on to say they pay 7-8 cpl depending on experience?*

EXPERIENCED, reliable and conscietious MTs that have to take a test to even be considered DEFINITELY deserve more than 7-8 cpl.

Communication and concern
xx
True ... I got more communication from them
than I ever DREAMED of getting at MQ, and I loved it. What is the most difficult for me is that I trained on two hospitals of a very large account, and loved them, but then I was transferred to another hospital within that same account, and it is much harder. Not the worktypes, etc. - the docs are harder. But, some days are good, some are bad. Other than the account particulars, I have no other complaints with Transcend. They've been very good to me, and I like the platform, communication, TIMELINESS OF GETING PAID (they're REAL on top of that - my check actually arrives a couple days before payday). And, at least for right now, they have a lot of work - no worries about running out, at least not in the immediate future.
Don't go there. Bad communication, bad pay, India. nm

No communication -> MTs wander off (sm)
when work volume dips.
All I want is better communication and more feedfback..sm
I never get feedback yet I got a message from the boss asking me to stop making the same mistakes.  How do I know what mistakes I am making if I'm not told.  That's all I ask.
They pay higher than most and their communication
I though they were very professional and the Beyond TXT platform was not half-bad.  They treat you like a person and not someone from far, far away.  LOL  - They have my vote as well!
I have never seen such a lack of communication
within a company.  It would be easier on management and keep the MTs working if there were better communication and being able to put it in one place would be a win/win situation I would think.  I've learned to not hold my breath for things to happen though.
No but they can be blamed for bad communication
They knew today that the checks would not be pending in the bank as usual. They knew 2 weeks ago this payperid would go in house. Wouldn't a little e mail stating that the payday will not be as usual since things are in house now? At least common courtesy to those people who do not expect things to be different than every week for a year or more?
Yes, I agree they need to have better communication on almost everything.
nm
lack of communication
is usually a good indication there is soemthing you do not want others to know.
Lack of communication? sm
What, exactly, do you want them to communicate to you that they have not already? They have sent emails and posted newsletters with the latest developments and they are holding a teleconference to discuss those developments.

Did it ever occur to you that not every worker is privy to all the internal workings of a company, not just in medical transcription but in most brick and mortar companies as well? We have a job to do at Webmedx, and that job is to transcribe accurate medical reports in a timely manner.... Period! Our job is not to concern ourselves with the latest acquisitions, mergers, or other business/financial developments that may or may not occur. They have people who are paid to do that, so we should do what we are paid to do.

If Webmedx is that intolerable to you, you might consider changing something you are able to change as I suggested below, or if you cannot or will not do that, then perhaps it is time for you to find some place where you would be happier.
The only problem I have with TT is communication (sm)

It seems like my email messages don't get through sometimes, but they are always quick to try and fix it. I even had support look into it. It turns out that management gets so loaded down with emails during the day that they can miss a few.

The only other problem I have is the ones that don't work their schedule during the week and then go whole hog on the weekend, leaving low work for Mondays. That irks me to no end (not the low work, the MTs).  They should work their schedule.  It throws everything off when they don't.

I've been there for 2 years and am still happy. Work is low once in a while, especially around the holidays and Monday as above, but it always picks up after about 3 hours. I do enjoy the break and always make up my lines and time when necessary. I try to do it during the week, but sometimes must do it on the weekend.

Get used to it. Communication has always been an issue. Also....
be forewarned that one of the bigwig frequents this board. Not that you care, but they will figure out who is saying what. Overall, when I worked there, I liked it but hated the communication issue.
The only communication I need is the paycheck. The

Run out of work, no communication, pay

pay rates - communication
Why not just email your liaison or D to see what's going on? 'I have emailed a couple times telling her I am undecided on whether i will continue with the company and I have changed my schedule around to work 3 days for them/4 days for my other job - by the end of the year, I hope to make a decision and only work 1 job, based on what is coming down the pike. But I do keep in contact with both D and my liaison and tell them where  I am at - as my hub says it's good not to burn bridges cos you never know if you will need to cross them again. Send an email, what have you got to lose/? Good luck to all us MDIers.
I beg to differ with the other posters (sm)
I've been with MQ for four years and I am very happy. No one hounds me, heck, yesterday I was gone to lunch for two hours, and NO ONE called me asking where I was.  As it has been stated before numerous times, things differ from office to office at MQ! That's just the nature of the game.  Don't judge MQ by what other people say, I almost did, and probably would have lived to regret it.  I'd say give them a try, what have you got to lose? Good Luck!!!
I agree. It seems as though many posters
complain about no work but I have to wonder how hard they work when their account is out of TAT. I have my two boys home with me daily. They are napping right now and in between breakfast, lunch, breaking up an occasional fight and all the hugs and kisses I can stand, I have still managed to type 2200 lines already today.
Sierra, the 2 posters below are RIGHT.
Both of their answers are right on.

I make a LOT of money with the same companies most people b**** about. I don't care what THEY think. I make good money and have fab bennies.

I stop by here every couple of weeks or so and usually just read to get a good laugh but the problems are always the same on this board: No one wants to work, they wanna sit and chat and post...every word you type HERE is COSTING you cents and cents add up to money, honey. No one here wants to leave a company if they're unhappy...staying there will make you as hateful as the so-called hateful company you complain about. No one here wants to give any company a chance for their OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE...apparently, no one can make a decision on their own. They just take other people's views and opinions and make them their own. How weak and feeble-minded is that?

Read sm and anon posts below. They'll get you going in the right direction. And forget all the negs on this board...LMAO - call 'em naggin' negs. ROOFFLLL

Okay to work for, but the other posters are right!
x
The other posters are correct sm
Not only is their pay so low, but you are actually penalized for blanks and needing help. This is why they are constantly advertising on a national level. There are plenty of local transcriptionists who would work for them if pay and conditions were decent. I would recommend staying away!
It is the posters who are embarrassing with their
LOL
TIA, are there mulitple posters who use this
If not, you are all over the place. How many different companies do you work for. You have tons of posts about tons of different companies. What gives?
Thanks to all 3 posters above. I will look where you suggested! nm

To the three rude posters...

Why do you even bother replying when you are going to be so rude and negative?  Some people on this board are unbelievable.  She's asking the question for people that want to answer - nobody requires anyone to answer anything.  However, I am sure that the reply 'nunya' was really helpful though - geez...

I got into it so I could stay home with my kids.  My husband does have a good job with benefits that are pretty good.  I wanted out of the office atmosphere anyway, all the gossip and BS.

I agree with other posters that there is something
disingenuous (sp?) or creepy almost about the RAVE reviews over and over for this company. The language of the posts is suspect as well - how many MTs call each other MLS? So many of the posts just sound like canned recruiting posts - sorry. That's my take as well. And one thing I know 4 sure in this industry - when MTs do find that miracle company, they don't go blabbing it all over so that thousands of other MTs can apply. That's one thing that is a given. And all this hiring? Something is odd about that as well. So its not just 1 or 2 skeptics - I have a feeling there are a lot of us!
I agree 100% with the posters below!
Not to say all nationals are this way, but the one I work for now is terrible about communication, basically ignores e-mails, and generally leaves you with no way to reach them. I truly do feel like a mindless drone some days. You might find the change tough after being in-house for so long. Just my opinion here. Good luck to you! :-)
I also agree with the other 2 posters...
Been with OSi for several years.  I never run out of work and pay has always been on time.
oh my bad ... I see you do have really happy posters
see thread way at the bottom.
Keystroke posters
It could also be because when they post questions on the other board which they are given access to when they begin working for KS - they are required to use the KS initials so that their supervisor can check up on them and see if they made an inquiry to the MTdaily board before leaving a blank.  Then if they haven't - it's a reprimand.  Been there - done that - glad it's over.
thanks for input from posters below...

I had been made a verbal offer, so nothing submitted in writing.  I did just call, and will be receiving my paperwork today.  Thanks for the info.

What is strange to me, are posters who use a reg.

TT posters see message

Hello all.  I'm getting hit from both directions with emails and reports here!  Sorry, I don't work for TT so I don't know what is true and what is not.  From what I can see below there was a problem today, but it has already been addressed and fixed by the company.

With that being said, I will leave these messages on the board.  I'm going to ask that this conversation be done though.  I'm getting requests from both sides asking for removals of certain posts or all of the posts.  Everyone wants a place to post and get their questions answered or simply to find information, so as a general rule we want to leave the information to be found.  However, this topic has gone beyond that and turned into nothing but an argument.  Even the non-TT posters are getting in on the argument.  I appreciate everyone's understanding.

Javabean (MTStars Moderator)

OK, I don't work for TT, but other posters SM
have stated they are rapidly moving into SR and if you don't do SR, you don't have any work.  They have been posting that for the last several months.
disagree with the other posters...
First, you are miserable and believe they want you gone anyway. Second, you are not confident they will pay you. With my experience of over 30 years as MT, i say NO, just quit with no notice. If it puts them in a pickle, it's of their own making. I don't believe it will hurt your future prospects. Why not? Because you worked for them a number of years -- that speaks for itself. You have the medical knowledge and can produce well. You'll be fine. Besides, so many employers never check your references anyway. Usual questions are where you worked and for how long, and why you left. Why make yourself miserable and not be paid for it? You'll find another job. and if its not the right one, you can keep looking. but in the meantime, you'll be PAID for your work and not be so unhappy (which isn't good for your health!!). Go for it.
Um, you slammed her. That's why other posters
felt the need to come in and try to make her feel better, take the burn out of her monitor. Other posters got the point across to her, without making her feel like an evil insider of Transcam, or a moron. Poor thing will probably never post again. Your postings are very borderline tonight - one post friendly, next post slamming. Go back and read your posts after you're in another mood, and you should see my point. But then wrapping up all the love with a Golden Rule motto just really sealed the deal. Peace out to you, too.
Quite a few posters have mentioned doing this..nm

This board needs more posters like you;) I know they are out there, but..sm
sadly so many are afraid to post for fear of receiving negative responses. I also believe the good outnumbers the bad. We all just need to start ignoring the negativity because it feeds on attention. If we would all just stop feeding it, may it will starve to death and just go away. You can count me in!!
