TOO much information, fuzz. I suggest you read sm
your policy and procedure manual. The things you are mentioning regarding the platform are considered proprietory information and you could get fired for talking about this stuff on an internet board. Keep company business private, please.
I've read them, thank you
It seems to me debatable whether the name I used qualifies for exclusion by that policy, although that issue I will defer, obviously, to the site administrator.

[Third -- No company-specific information, i.e., account names, privileged information, posting of internal memorandums/communication, etc. Company names themselves are, indeed, permitted. Do not name specific accounts or copy/paste the memo that made you upset at work.]

I don't believe the name mentioned qualifies as either an account name, privileged information, and internal communication, but again, that isn't my call to make.
Yes, I've read several posts about SS
and will beware. Thanks. I've learned a lot just by reading all the posts here.
I've read the old posts
before I accepted a position with them and I am glad I ignored them. I find my line rate to be very fair compared to what I have seen advertised for other companies, no it isn't the 14 cpl that I used to get on my own but who would expect that now anyway :). I have never had any problems with them. Pay has always been on time, the QA and management are always quick to answer any questions I have and they leave you alone during the day. IM is only used for quick problems and I can count on 1 hand how many times they have IM'd me, other than my first 2 days to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. To each their own though, everyone will not be pleased with the same companies.
I know there are other posts, I've read them...sm
I'm strictly looking for people with good experiences with DSG, not problems with them. I know there are some MTs who work there who are happy, a friend of mine knows someone who loves this company, so it can't be all bad. Those are the people I'm asking to hear from. Thanks anyway:)
I totally agree. Once you've posted your private information

on these boards, it's indexed and cached through Google and other sites.  I've been stalked and harrassed twice through MT boards due to information I posted.  One was a woman who totally disagreed with me and thought she needed to set me straight.  She was right and I was wrong, and she was going to scream and cuss at me until I saw things her way.  She Googled everything she could find about me and my business, then tracked me down through Anywho.  The other was a man who called my business number at 2:00 a.m. wanting to talk about sex because he needed a sex-cretary to do his transcription in person.  I know they got the information from the other MT board I used to go to because that was the only place I posted anything in the directory.  The scary thing is that information can still be found all these years later because it's been cached.  I had to change phone numbers, but those people still know my full name and address.  That's why I don't use one nickname to post now.

well I've read all your posts and responses and
no one has been ugly or attacked you at all

I worked for TransTech briefly and it's not them. But I've never read that about
xx
TransHealth...I've read lots of good and bad SM

about them, but am going to start with a very open mind.  I am looking forward to it.

If you've read the recent posts about them, how could you even think of applying? nm

AccuStat...any new info? I've read the archives that are a year old...

I've read the archives but would like current info on this comany. Thanks nm

responses. Is there anybody here that's actually happy working for Precyse? Are most folks making decent money there?

Thanks.
Should've read my email sooner, they did invite me to finish the test -sm
Mine did have 4 dictations. None of them were ESL, though they were a little more difficult than most tests I've taken.
Anyone know anything about Global Information Systems? Any information would be appreciated. nm

MedScribe Information Systems, Inc - Information please?

Anyone with information on this company?

I read all read all the threads in the "companies" section
of another board, MT Chat, and Googled each one that got positive reviews. If they had a website and a way to apply online, I did so. And that was how I got hired at TRS. They were not advertising at the time. By sheer coincidence I applied to Transcend just before I applied to TRS, and they were not interested in what I had to offer at the time. And now they've got me anyway, since they bought TRS. Interesting how things work out sometimes.

Companies with negative reviews, or company queries that got only a terse I sent you a PM reply, I passed over.
What good does it do? They've lied, they've betrayed us.

They've taken all they are going to take from me.   I am not going to waste any more time being angry.   I hate the way things ended, but I refuse to accept the blame for any part of it because I know that was a lie too, even though they did try to blame the MTs.  I know part of the problem was quality issues, but QA wasn't to blame for that either, although they have been.

It is time to pick up and move on.   I think mgmt will reap what they sow.   For those who worked on the main account Webmedx is still hiring, though the best time slots have already been taken.

What the heck? I've never heard that in the 8 yrs I've worked here. sm
Go back to your STM or over his or her head.
Since you've brought it up, I've stopped SM

giving the negative info because every time I have in the past I am called a disgruntled ex-employee or told that my experience has no relation to what the company is like today.

I won't repeat the information I've given in the past, anyone can find it on searches.  I've decided to just let the people have their experience with the company and that experience will validate everything I've ever said about those people.

The same people own and run that company--they may have new names doing the management, but it still runs the same way.

You've got it ~ you've hit the nail on the head....

I can Google until dawn and still not find John Smith in NY - you know the neurologist...  Cut me a break!  I've now learned to ask my online company for a list of referring physicians (since none of the accounts are in my state) and also ask for websites for the hospitals, but I still don't take more than 5 min of my own time to find referring physicians.  I send it right through with a verify cc:...

As far as making an educated guess, I would only do that if it was my own account and I know the dictator well.  For the online company, it is their responsibility to make that educated guess as it is their client, not mine.  I leave that up to the company to make assumptions; this way it is on their back, not mine when it comes to the legality of the report.  Ultimately, the physician is responsible when signing that report or there should be clause on those reports that state dictated but not read.  If that clause is not there, then it is the physician's responsibility to know the content, not the MT.  An MT can only transcribe what they hear and really should not be making educated guesses on anyone since we live in a world of sue-happy patients and their malpractice insurance is so high.  If there is a question, it needs to go the dictator to resolve.

JMO - been doing this for over 20 years.

I've been a QA 15 years and I've never heard
of any company only paying for the actual Keystrokes of the blank. You would literally make less than minimum wage that way. Waaay less.
I read your post. What do you want me to re-read?
and it seems those are your posts, too, so things just didn't add up and seemed inconsistent. If a place dropped me down to p.r.n. at 7 cpl or whatever and I already had another job where I could get 1000-1500 lines, I wouldn't give the first place a second thought so just couldn't figure out why anyone else would.
I've come here for as long as I've been...
...an MT, for the same reasons all of you do. I don't scan the boards looking for false accusations, but when something comes up that does involve me, I would like the opportunity to defend myself. That's all...
Looking for information on QED. sm
I have never heard of them before.  I read some old archives but am interested in hearing from any recent employees.  I've heard the pay is low.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
Information
Does anyone know anything about a company called Archivus?
SM for information.
An expander is a program in which you put in shortcuts to "expand" to longer words, sentences, and phrases. For example, typing "forex" produces "for example." They can be used for phrases like
tp for the patient
lt for left
rt for right
egdx for esophagogastroduodenoscopy

Shorthand and Instant Text are 2 of the most popular.

Check out productivitytalk.com!
Does anyone have any information
TIA
Thank you for the information!
That is helpful.
Thanks for the information.

You were very kind to respond.

No, but if this were information
that was really any of your business, you wouldn't have to ask.

Does anyone have any information
I have asked a few times and can find nothing when I do a search on them? TIA
A little information for you

I am not the original person who answered your post, but I also work for Amphion.  When you are first hired with them, they will basically ask you what hours you plan on working.  They are hours of your choosing, but they just ask that you try to stay working that schedule, so that they can provide adequate coverage on their accounts.  They are, however, very accommodating should you need to change your schedule.  They hire both part-time and full-time employee status.  Very nice folks to work for!  Good luck to you.

Sorry, don't have information but would like to know
Thanks.
I like to come here for information..., sm

but by the time you wade through all the hateful remarks, it just makes you sick!  I am very glad for the time spent on getting rid of some of the junk around here.

Information
Can you email me with more information?  Where are you located?  How many MTs work for you currently?  Thanks!
I'd appreciate any information on any of these, too
--but I can say I did consider FastChart a few years ago; my decision was between them and my current employer, for whom I work as an employee and not as an IC, as I would have with FastChart.

What killed my consideration of FastChart was the poor line rate; I believe it was 0.065/line at the time, and that, coupled with IC status and filing my own taxes, etc., just didn't beat EDiX's offer of 0.07/line plus benefits.

I'm most curious about Oracle and Proscript and appreciate the PS feedback already provided. At this point, I'll take any advice anyone offers, though. I just don't think the future at my present company is looking so bright.

Thanks, all.
There is quite a bit of information in the
archives on Spheris. I worked there and have posted much about them (positive experience). I even posted a lengthy comparison between Spheris and MedQuist.

If you will do a search, you will find plenty of information.

Thanks for the information!

Information (SM)
If you are referring to the parent company of MedQuist, you need to take this discussion to the MQ board.

ALL discussions about MQ are to be on that particular board.

I am letting your post stand for now to see if you will clarify if there is a private MTSO called Phillips MT that you are inquiring about.

Thanks for the information. sm
Everything that I heard about them was good, until I took the job offer, of course!
My information to do with what I want. sm
I agree it is crass to ask someone what they make.  I do not agree that someone has the right to tell my personal information cannot be shared with whomever I chose to share it with.
Thanks for the information. - sm
I guess this should have been titled autotext or word Expander question! They (Futurenet) told me they have a Word Expander program, but I'm guessing they meant the autotext feature in MS Word.

This is in addition to your line rate.

Where do you get your information?
Please let me know where you heard this because I have worked for Precyse for quite awhile, continue to have the same accounts (probably because they have a lot of ESLs and nobody else wants them).  I do know they have some accounts and MTs testing it out, but are quick to tell us that with the problems all the other companies are having, they are quite hesitant about how efficient and productive it would be.
