Another ChartNet Question

Thanks to everyone who responded to my previous question about how you liked ChartNet.  I have one more question.  Does anyone use it with satellite internet?  If so, does it work well for you?  Someone told me that the platform is quite slow with satellite with looking up previous reports, etc. I don't want to start a new job if it's not going to be worth my while. Opinions from satellite users would be appreciated!  Thanks to everyone.

Cymed uses Chartnet....I have been working for them part-time for several months now. Good employer, easy to work with...and definitely LOOKING for MTs!

Chartnet
It is my understanding that Cymed actually bought Chartnet and will be further developing it. I am guessing it will be theirs exclusively at some point. And you are right, it is an excellent platform.
Chartnet
SPI uses Chartnet and Meditech.
Chartnet
Chartnet definitely has all the nice features of ExText but is easier to use and more efficient IMO. Everything is pretty much a 1-key function. It does everything ExText does but one difference is you can have much longer Auto Text entries. I have entire reports in auto text (speed type) instead of templates. Also it is very easy to mark anything that you might want to go back and recheck as far as a voice marker so there is no stopping to write down where it is on the voice program. I have not worked in ExText in about 2 years so there might be updated versions that do this which I am not familiar with. Also a lot of little neat things, like you can hit Ctrl. Alt. D and your doctor list for the facility comes up. At that point you can hit enter on the correct doc and it automatically inserts, Dr. Whomever, into your report. I use this a lot when I am uncertain of a spelling.

They use Chartnet
They use Chartnet and it is an awesome platform. It is the best I have ever worked with. It does have it's own expand type, but I rarely use it.
Chartnet.....

Does New England Medical Transcription still use this? Do you find it easy to get lines on? Does anyone care to share how many lines they get in an hour with Chartnet?

Thanks!

CHARTNET

I do agree Chartnet is easy to use...WHEN IT IS WORKING!!!  It crashes at least once a week......

ChartNet
SPI uses Chartnet. I also love this platform and thought I heard SPI bought the rights to Chartnet. Not a recommendation though for SPI.
Chartnet
I am using Chartnet on the account I am on for U.S.A. Medical Transcription. I don't know how many accounts they use it for, but I love Chartnet!!

ChartNet
And it's very easy to use.
Chartnet
Anyone familiar with Chartnet program? Is it user friendly?
Chartnet
I currently use Chartnet and like it.  I just am not fond of the company I am working for.  It really is not that hard to learn.  I have used it for a few months.  I  prefer Word though.  I am just now feeling real comfortable with it thought.  I also use Meditech which I really do not like but it helps pay the bill.
Chartnet
I loved Chartnet and thought it was the best program I had ever worked on. If you are considering SPI though be careful. Even with the efficient platform it is hard to make good money due to not being paid for spaces, headers/footers, templates, etc.

Chartnet and SPi
MTing:  Do you work for SPi?  I currently work there and boy do I agree with you trying to make a decent line.  It really is not that easy either and the doctors I do I have been used to for 24 years.  It is not the doctors.  It is other things that make it hard.
Chartnet
I worked at SPi. Chartnet wasn't the problem there. I was making great money with them until they kept sending work to the Philippines. That was the problem.
Chartnet
Better ask what version of Chartnet if you are trying different companies.  The version of Chartnet I use is not Vista compatible.
Chartnet
I cannot comment on MedScribe, but I did work on Chartnet for 3 years. I think it is an awesome platform and you should be able to be very productive on it. Best of luck with your new job.

Yes! On both Chartnet and DVI sm
This suddenly started for me on Monday. I asked if we had had a big hiring boom but was told no. This is VERY unusual; I have never been out of work with them. I have to tell you,I left another company a couple of years ago for the same thing...there, this led to virtually being on-call all the time and just a big account pool with no primaries. I'm not saying this is what MedScribe is doing but warning bells are going off left and right. I am not a happy MT today. Something is amiss.
Does anyone use ChartNet?

If you use Chartnet as a transcription platform, can you tell me a little bit about how it works?  Is it easy to use?  Would you say it is productive?  How does it work with demographics?  Do they prefill?  Any other information you could provide about ChartNet would be appreciated!

Thanks.

I like ChartNet
I am used to DocQScribe which I absolutely love, however, I use Chartnet on my second job and I like it a lot.  I would say the second best out there.  Very easy to learn and demographics fill in for me.  You will love it.
Chartnet was the BEST I have ever used...sm
Easy to learn and just awesome.  DocQscribe....i have always HATED with a passion, Just can't get used to typing in that font....I have issues with Times New Roman and Arial Fonts.  My favorite font is Courier New.
ChartNet

I have a friend that used Chartnet with a Verizon wireless card and it worked fine.  I am not sure if this is the same because she could not get cable high speed where she lives.

Also I use ChartNet right now for the Co. I work for.  I like it, but there is a disadvantage to one thing I have found.  Say for example you are doing a consult and need to see another doctor's name that may have seen this patient, when you go in to look at previous reports  to see about other sample reports on this patient you cannot see previous doctor's names.  This can be handy at times but other than that like the program.  Hope this helps.  This is the way is for the company I work for, but this may not be the way it is for other companies, but the ChartNet program may just work that way as I am not sure.  Good Luck if you are thinking about using it.   Would recommend it.

Chartnet
I thought Chartnet was absolutely the best, and I believe Medscribe in Florida recently switched to that. ExText also is a good choice and seems to be more available.

Chartnet
Hi. Can you tell me if Chartnet is compatable with microsoft word? I use word expansions, but this sounds like an awesome platform, and would consider investing in a word Expander if necessary, but I prefer not to. It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks I guess. Thanks!
Chartnet
Hi all, looking for companies that offer the Chartnet platform.  I do know about SPI and Medscribe.  Are there any others?  Thanks in advance.
Chartnet
Thanks much for that info.
Does anyone know of a company who is using chartnet?
I love Chartnet and I can't find any companies who use it anywhere.  Please let me know of some if there are any out there!
Which companies use ChartNet?...
I need to go full-time and Chartnet is my all-time favorite platform...sure would like to know who all is using it out there.  TIA!
Followup on ChartNet

Just a followup, if anyone is interested...On my second day at MedScribe and transcribed over 1,000 lines.  Love the Chartnet and still do not use all of the little shortcuts it offers.  You were right about ChartNet.

Did not notice any change at all, I am on the new platform.  Maybe you ought to talk to TL about moving over as they are moving everything over to Chartnet and it is just an awesome program.  Just growing pains maybe but I did hear a new hospital was starting the first of March.
What companies use ChartNet? nm
xxx
I said in a former post it was Chartnet sm
but it was Ex-Text and required a Dictaphone pedal. The problems (again) had nothing to do with the foot pedal to begin with. It was something on their end that the hospital needed to fix (per their admission) two different accounts. Nothing like hanging on for a month or more.

Didn't know this subject would create such dialogue!
I agree Chartnet is very easy
to use, however I do use my Expander all the time.  My old hands need all the help they can get.
Inside skinny on MedScribe and ChartNet

I have read every posted comments on MedScribe and ChartNet, but many of the posts were from three years ago.  I just hired on as full-time MTwith MedScribe of Jacksonville, FL, and I would appreciate any input on the company, personnel, and the platform (ChartNet).  Any comments on either subject?  Thanks.  I lost a couple of accounts after years (cheaper the office managers said but did not answer me if American or Indian companies) and now I am back working for a lower line rate.  Comments on productivity would be appreciated, too.

ChartNet is a 70 or 75 character line count. Check into it. nm
