At the risk of sounding offensive

You must be doing something wrong. Admittedly, every opening posted gets probably 100 applicants, but they are still hiring good people. I hated the job I had, applied/tested/interviewed for one that sounded good, and got that at 9 cpl. I wanted some easy typing, so I applied/tested/interviewed for another one, similar to the one the OP is looking for and got that one for 8.5 cpl.

Of course, now that the company has read that they can find chumps to sit and type it for 7 cpl, my job security may be out the window. Of course, the same people that will screw their fellow American MTs out of work by working for that amount will be the first ones on here crying about how they lost their account because it got sent offshore just to save a few pennies.

    pretty hateful sounding
I reread my posts and I said Fine that I understood what you were saying was rude.  I was just commenting about the line count issue at Transcend, giving MY opinion.  I have yet to see in any of my posts anything rude or sarcastic towards you.  I don't understand why your posts to me have an accusatory or rude context to them.  I disagree with you on certain issues that we have talked about here.  There is nothing wrong with that.  I understood and understand what you thought was rude.  Okay, get over it!  I am done talking about that, I was just trying to give my opinion about the company.  I could care less about having the last word or not.  I just want to give my opinion that happens to represent a fair amount of MTs out there who happen to be happy at their company.  Sorry if that bothers you to the core!
I should not have posted sounding angry. The
fighting back and forth is juvenile and I am not going to take part in it any longer. The only drama with Keystrokes is on these boards. Please don't let it stop you from applying. We want long-time, solid, steady MTs.
I think its more of a "rhythm" sounding thing. sm
You know if you type the word the with three letters, it sounds different than a word with six letters. I don't know how to explain it but I can hear the typos! Yeah we learned in the same era! I remember those black strike-arm typewriters we had when learning in school! I can remember typing 80 wpm on those. I bet I couldn't type 10 wpm now on one! That is just too funny!
    Sounding kinda paranoid.
Why are you so up in arms? Some of your comments sound like you're a caffeinated conspiracy theorist.

For instance, you think IC's billing statements will be scrutinized.

Uh, I have no problem with my bills being scrutinized. They are absolutely accurate and in keeping with my contract. Why would anybody be concerned unless they were trying to fudge the system, hmmmm?

As far as companies putting Spyware on ... pfffft. I go through a HIPPA compliance training session every year. Takes, what, 10 minutes? I sign the paper. Everybody's happy.

    Mountain.

    Molehill.

Learn to differentiate the difference and you'll be a much more relaxed person, IMO.
At the risk of being rude, PLEASE can you tell me
your company? Sounds like just what I am looking for. I believe you that they are looking for quality and weeding out the rest, and I SO WANT TO WORK for a company that cares about quality!! I promise I won't bash you, and you can even reply by email! I am sooooooooooooooo trying to find just a decent company = so that I can leave that - other one - forever!
I would say enter at own risk...
They are great at first but run out of work very easily...emails go unanswered..switching from account to account...
Again, at the risk of offending you.
You must be doing something wrong if you have 10 years of experience and are doing all this applying and testing and still not getting a call-back. I have almost 30 years and I didn't necessarily hear back about everything I applied for but I still did not find it necessary to take anything that low.

And sure you can still make money at 7 cpl. But even to make $100/day you have to type almost 1500 lines. And that's on the assumption that one doctor will dictate that much every day. And by the time you do 1500 lines for that doc, how much are you going to have left to do it again for another one?
be careful, you are sounding like a cheerleader. Dont

At the risk of being called mgmt, I have to say (sm)
that when I started 2 years ago my very first check was direct deposited, but I can't remember how much time they had to do it.  I DO remember I was shocked, because the company I had come from always told us, it took several pays before it went through.  I think it was because they just didn't bother with the paperwork involved.
At the risk of getting flamed, my advice for any MT - sm
not just Wbmx - is if you don't like VR, you better start training for a new career. I'm not saying it is good or necessarily bad, but I suspect the days of having a choice of whether to use it or not are over.
Lots of Indian workers use "American"-sounding

If you worked, you should get paid. It is a risk on both parts. I would sm

call them and ask why you were not paid.

I have heard lately about companies that do not pay on time, are constantly late, never the right amount, and it amazes me that people continue to work for them.

If you just started with them and left, you still need to be paid for thew work you performed.

personal info is always at risk just by being online

all over the world...the perps are trying to get everyone's personal information....not just that company and their stupid error.....nothing is secure online no matter for the encryption codes or anything - NOTHING is 100% secure online...*hear that? all you people who bank online and pay bills online*???  Just because it hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it is not in the works.

I remember few years ago Western Union got hacked (one of the oldest companies in America) and told all 100,000 customers to *cancel all your credit cards as we do not know what information the perps got on all of you*

Nothing is 100% secure online, not banking, not medical records, not your social security numbers nor your personal records.....even if you see the little lock at the task bar.....means not much to a computer whiz/cracker.

I wonder why people like CindyMT (below) are in this business.  I became disgusted with this thread within 2 reads.  Things are horrible at MQ and many other MTSOs right now so tempers are short, I understand that, but what is needed are some POSITIVE minds working to find a way to improve things, even if it means leaving one company for another to get some peace.  If you are getting thrown under the bus by one, maybe it is time to leave.  MQ has totally thrown their QA under the bus and their MTs before that, which is why I am reading company threads, and this thread definitely gives TT a bad rap if what some say is true and it's not a bad place to work.  Good luck to all in this business...where the smart and strong shall survive and the weak and angry will perish.
Not to be offensive, but ....

maybe you were just perceiving it as rude because you can't take constructive criticism or something? I'm not a perfect txer but I have never been pinged on any of my work, nor received any feedback, especially none that was rude, nor has anyone in the admin been anything but nice to me and to others I have referred to ES.

    it was nothing offensive...sm
I can't remember the date of her first post, but she signed herself as mt. She was just someone who was letting us know that the company she worked for was good to her and wanted to share that with us. She posted again on 07/29 asking why it was deleted. I didn't give her a negative response, but both postings are gone. Unless I'm becoming blind, but like I said, her question and my response were only from 07/29.
    Offensive comments
Esther, I was born to a Jewish family as well, and I hate any kind of ignorant, anti-Semitic comments. I did not see the original post or forum but I can tell you, I would have been steamed.
For the OP - GP - Re the Offensive Posts - SM
Are they still posted? Now I am curious. Honestly, on this company forum, everyone gets heated, it is not just one person or one company, that is why we come here, we communicate our experiences - good and bad - it seems like they'd almost have to shut down the board to not offend or anger someone. Everyone has an opinion - what exactly is considered a libelous post on these forums in the eyes of the court? I'd love some clarity! Maybe it's a case by case thing, but it seems if people are going to be getting sued for what they post here, there should be some guidelines - though not sure if it's up to MT Stars to provide those guidelines, it could be our responsibility (which is what I tend to think). Bah, what do I know!!

I find it kind of offensive--
--your referring to third world countries as Turd World. It just smacks of looney-tune right-wing radio talk. I actually was enjoying your conspiracy theories on Spheris until you said that.
not offensive - the original post WAS racist......

I find your post embarrassing and offensive as well.

Tips for Handling Offensive Posts -- SM

If you find a post offensive:

Read a post that offends you?  Make sure you think about what is upsetting about it.  Is it personally upsetting or is it against posting guidelines?

If it is just upsetting for you, my advice:  Ignore it.  Don't respond.  If you respond, you are feeding that opinion and it will more than likely incur another post, etc.

If it is against posting guidelines, report it using the REPORT THIS MESSAGE button.  Or, copy the URL and send to me in an email (cher@mtstars.com).

Remember, that just because you dislike a post does not warrant its removal.  You must be responsible for what you read and post for yourself.  If a certain poster gets under your skin, don't read his/her posts.  Just ignore those posts.  Don't allow yourself to be drawn into a tit-for-tat argument that ends up getting you into trouble along with others.  Be responsible for yourself.

If you find the original post so offensive, why did you respond at all?

Why don't you get a clue?  A good number of people enjoyed this.  If you dislike it, you can just move on to some rosy-happy-fun filled post and leave the rest of us to chuckle without being harassed.

Really offensive, what black people will only work for the bottom of the barrel?

    should be ashamed

That's a horribly offensive term. I wouldn't compare some drama

Interjecting a point of view is fine, but if you find it offensive...sm
people bash their companies, how about people who bash other people and taunt them by posting ridiculous statements about dark evil forces and then give you the Tony Robbins about how they should live you life.

I am a little tired of people saying blowing sunshine out my a$$ is going to pay my bills when work is sparse, wages are being cut by 1/3 to 1/2, and insurance is eating up almost half my paycheck.

I am an adult, I don't need to grow up and look on the bright side, and I don't need to bend over and take it anymore. I need to stand up to the CEOs, COOs, CFOs, department managers, supervisors, recruiters, and company acquisition specialists and tell them that my job is every bit as valuable and technical as theirs is.

They're not sitting in meetings all day groveling about how bad the economy is and how lucky they are to have jobs. They are capitalizing on a bunch of people by forcing their wages down and then saying it is their own fault because there was a typo in a report or transcriptionists in VietNam can do their job just as well and for less.

    That is the truth.
This is sounding like a repeat, repeat
of the sky is falling, better gather up all the acorns and store them away. Be afraid, socialist country, oh now I am shivering in my boots. Not.
