What you describe sounds like the oldest trick in the book - the ole bait and switch...make you think you have something understood and established so that you flow in it and progress well, while slowly switching the stage set to one that makes it look like everything is OK, even better for you, but really it is better for them mainly while you are indebted to them constantly IRT time and attention, that does sound like an employer-employee relationship. How long will you stand it?
