Current info about Axolotl in archives, never

heard of the other company.  Axolotl is not currently hiring, has no work on multiple accounts, though they do pay for downtime.  Fixing to start transition to natural speech, most would call it VR.  Pay is better than most currently, good benefits, great company.  Work has been low for 3-4 months, but is worse lately.  They provide all software/hardware, good tech support 24/7.

Would a current employee of Axolotl please...sm
give me some specific information by email? Thanks in advance!
There is lots of current information in the archives.

They offshore, but they don't want you to know that.

Have read archives, but can any current TRS employees ... SM
share how it is there now, specifically whether the required line counts are doable and if they generally have good accounts - also about the benefits.  Thanks!
Have interviews with Axolotl and Webmedx. Need opinions from CURRENT MTs about their future

I have interviews for an Acute Care MT position (employee, not IC) with both Axolotl and Webmedx and would like some CURRENT feedback before I make a decision.  Have been an Acute Care MT for over 30 years and want to “plant” myself at my LAST job before retirement.    Getting too old to keep going through these testing/interview processes.

I have researched both Axolotl and Webmedx and to no surprise the poster either hates 'em or loves 'em.  It seems like both companies have gone through some major changes during 2006 and plan more changes in the future – good or bad – depending on who is replying.  From preliminary information, they seem to be comparable in pay, both provide the computer, insurance is reasonable at both, and other benefits are close to identical, which is making it hard for me to swing one way or the other without more information.

I would really appreciate either a post or E-Mail from CURRENT (or newly former) employees of Axolotl and Webmedx with their opinion as to if they feel reasonably confident they can continue to make a comfortable living over the next few years (or at least not have drastic downward changes in their future incomes), where they think their employers are going in the future, if they are comfortable with the direction they are taking (job security), and if they think they will still be working for the company in say 5 to 10 years (or at least plan to, baring unforeseen circumstances).   Any information you care to share on ESL and achieving/maintaining minimum lines per pay period would also be helpful.   Any other information you would care to share would also be greatly appreciated in my attempt to decide the PROS and CONS of these two companies.

Needless to say, I would love to hear any negatives in case I need to go in a totally different direction.    Any former employees who would care to share why they left would be very insightful too.

Any information you have will certainly help in my decision making.  Thank you in advance.

Any Axolotl employees willing to share info., platform, ESL %, etc. All info greatly appreciated. sm

Along with the platform, ESL %, pay range, lpd required, split shift or 12-24 hour window available, I would be interested in knowing your personal experience with this company, what type of relationship you have with supervisors and other coworkers, etc.  Otherwise, the all the 411.

Thanks!

Current info on Diskriter?? Past info was very mixed. Either MTs hated it or liked it, does anyone

love working there and why? Do you easily meet your incentive pay or as past people have said, the ESL are so bad that you never meet the line count. I need current and new information. Isnt there a company out there that has a handful of happy employees or does all of them have both the haters and lovers. It is so hard to sort out fact from fiction sometimes and all of us have different expectations. It kind of goes along with the one man's junk is another man's treasures theory, I suppose.

There is a bit info on them in the archives.

There is a ton of info in the archives
use the 'google' search box...not the other one. Here is the link (copy and paste into your address bar):

There's info in the archives
When I was hired, they said they paid for spaces. First check comes and was about $300 short. When I called them, they said they never said they paid for spaces. That was a lie.

When the payroll person went on vacation for 2 weeks, we had to wait until she came back to get paid.

I've also read on the boards from other MTs that the husband can be very unprofessional when faced with having to deal with any issues their MTs may have with their company, going as far as calling names and throwing insults.

Just giving you info. It's up to you, of course, whether you want to risk trying them out or not.

Any info on Axolotl?

Hi,

Does anyone have any info on a company called Axolotl? I'd like to know how flexible they are (12-hour window?), what they pay is like, and are they a friendly staff.

Thanks in advance.

Axolotl INFO

WanderingMT, I don't know where you get there is a high turnover.  I have worked there for 2 years and the only turnover I know of are the people who cannot maintain their Quality.  Axolotl is known for hiring the best of the best MTs and also being quality driven.  If an MT cannot produce quality documents, then they are not going to make it at Axolotl.  Also, WanderingMT, are you not the one who has posted that you could not even pass the preemployment testing??

As far as their accounts, they have accounts nationwide.  Also, Axolotl does NOT overstaff and just because there are only 75 MTs, does not mean that we run out of work.  LOL  It is actually the total OPPOSITE.

As far as making line counts, I was up to 1200 lines in a week after hiring.  If you are a disciplined MT, making your line counts will not be an issue.  The platform is very user-friendly and much better than any other company I have worked for.

I hope this helps Hubba!!!  You really cannot go wrong in looking at them.  If you need more info, feel free in e-mailing me!!!!

info on AXOLOTL
anyone have any helpful info on Axolotl?  Thank u.
Any info on Axolotl?

Sent resume over the weekend.  Curious about pay, how many PTO days, any bonus incentives?  Thanks for any info you can provide!

Axolotl-Got info ?

All this really great PR for Axolotl motivated me to check out their website and I am going to apply on line.  I am all for great QA and 98.5% accuracy.  I don't consider myself run-of-the-mill as the original poster considers herself--I think I would do well at Axolotl from what I have read on here.

Some important things were not mentioned on their website or in these postings:

ESL ?  Where I work now, I have a preoponderance of ESL dictators and other difficult dictators. I also sometimes deal with up to 10 different sets of style guidelines for 10 different clients in the space of a single shift.   In general, what is the composition of the workload ?

- Pay scale:  For transcription by the line ?  For voice rec editing by the line ?  Is QA paid by the line or by the hour ?

-  Are they sending work to India  ?  If so, how is this impacting your workload ?  Do you have enough work or do you often run out ?

Thanks for any info you can provide,
SeekingPart-TimeJob

Info on Axolotl
Axolotl is a good company with above-average pay and excellent benefits.  If you are a good MT who can produce a quality document and you can follow a schedule that you set, it might be something for you to look into.  They do expect quality and they do expect you to work your schedule (of course they will work with you for appointments, emergencies, etc.).
Tons of info about them in the archives.
They ran an ad a few weeks ago and supposedly got 500 resumes.  It seems they are constantly hiring, don't know if new accounts or turnover.   Some people seem very loyal and love it, lots of others have had problems.
Any info on D&L? Can't find them in the archives. TIA. nm

nothing comes up at all. Any info at all would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
Any info about p.r.n. Transcription? Nothing in the archives. Thanks. :) nm

Lots of info on all in the archives.
SS is a horrible company.  They are constantly hiring and new accounts isn't the reason.  I don't think Keystrokes hires for PT.
Don't have current ins. info (sm)
because I don't have to use it, but the line requirement is 12,000 per pay period for full-time employee status.
DSG current info?

Anyone have any comments on DSG? Looking for current info. How long does it usually take them to get back to you when you send in a resume? I know I've sent one to them a few times before but never heard anything back at all, even whether they got it or I wasn't acceptable or what. Just wondered if it was worth it to try try again...TIA!

it is current info
your contact must have not been hired, but that is what was offered and I have been quite happy with Medware as an IC, plenty of work and 24 hr TAT
Not current info but
My history with them is that they didn't give me a response on my testing until *after* I posted negative feedback about them. Then I received a very delayed, very vague email that informed me I had not passed. Right. (The instructions they sent with the test contained several typo's). Remember to balance negatives with positives - my experience may be the exception. :)
Any current info on
in regards to pay on time, work load, general info needed and appreciated. TIA
Any new/current info?
Is there any current information on Davis Transcription.  I see the archives and also saw/heard that they supposedly had been sold last year?  Been offered a position, so any help is greatly appreciated!
CURRENT info please!

I have searched through the archives and most of the info posted is old.  Could anyone please give me any info on the following companies???  (Not just bad info...good and bad would be appreciated!)

American Transcription Solutions, Inc. or ATSI

Transcription, Technology and Support or TTS (pay seems low)

SoftScript

Axolotl  (I have read nothing but WONDERFUL things about this company!)

I have offers from these companies and I do not want to jump around anymore.  I want to get in with a good company and stay there.   Thanks in advance!!!

Current DSG Info...
Hey,

Can someone give me some current (nonbashing) information about DSG. I'm interested in how are the benefits, the work flow, do they have ASR/VR etc.

Thanks
Chris

Any current info on DTS? sm
I did a search, but I am not coming out with anything.  Thanks
Any current info??
Sunny, I accepted a position with ZyloMed and currenty work for MQ.  They have an account that was supposed to start this week, pushed to next, but I am just worried I will not make line count because of lack of work and the such.  I will need benes, PTO not a big deal, but just concerned.  It is hard to switch but I have had quite a bit of trouble w/my super at MQ and really not up for that fight and the 10 accounts I type in 1 day!!  If there is anything more you could share I would really appreciate it.  You definately seem like an upfront person and just gives the facts, which I really appreciate!!  Thanks!
Any current info on MDI-MD?
I am only finding old stuff in archives and I have tried both search boxes. How is the workload currently? Is MDI-MD the company that only lets you do 5 dictations a day to start? How long does that last?
My info is not current, but....sm
I worked for them a few years ago....the owners were very nice people, got paid incorrectly a few times, but they corrected it ASAP.

The work was mostly clinic, but I HATED those letters. I had to find addresses all the time, which was time consuming and most times, the wrong address was used...They sent these phone books to you...that didn't really help...

There was one QA person i had issues with...this woman confused me so darn much, I wound up quitting. She would contradict herself all the time and was anal about those doggone COMMAS....She was RUDE also with a thick New York sounding accent....

But as i said, this was quite a few years ago, they may have changed or changed QA folk.
CURRENT INFO PLEASE

I would like current info please.....not archived junk......thanks

I like them. Do a search of archives...plenty of info.
.
Search the archives, lots of info on them.

search archives for more detailed info (sm)
I've had a great experience with WebMedX - lots of work, great pay, cool people, nothing to complain about at all.

Go to the bottom of this page and search the archives, hit Control-F for Find and type in WebMedX and you'll find a lot more information and opinions.
Read the archives, lots of info there.

If you check archives there is info there on SmartMed, don't know about
other company.  I tested for SmartMed (they went by a different name though) and was offered an MT position, which I turned down.  They called about a month later to offer me a QA position because they had started offshoring work.  Not much nice to say about them from recent posts.
all OSI info is old in archives. Anything recent good/bad?

mostly -- are the lines an absolute bear to get; i.e., will I have to work 12 hours a day to get 1000 lines?  Or do they seem fairly fair won?

Thanks

Any info on AllType? Search archives, but no
I see they have several ads posted, but I've not seen any info pro or con on them.
Lots of info in the archives. Seems to be a mass
exodus going on.
