You'd be better off working directly for a local clinic or hospital. Medquist and the other MTSOs (middle men) are responsible for lower line rates, decreased benefits, etc. MedQuist and the other transcription giants were set up so corporate executives and middle managers who no nothing about medical transcription could profit off the backs of hard-working MTs. Don't put money in their fat pockets. Put money in your pocket.
