I just purchased an ErgoHuman chair..sm
It has the kind of arms you are speaking of. They adjust up and down and pivot in and out enough to allow your hands to be in a typing position and supported. I must type in a strange position however because at their lowest they are not low enough for me to rest my arms on them but I think I am the exception. In spite of that,I LOVE this chair. I bought the one with the neck rest which has helped my neck and shoulder pain. It is adjustable in a alot of ways and just so comfortable! There are several places that sell it, just do a search on ErgoHuman if you are interested. It was fairly expensive ($500) but I sold my Herman Miller chair to buy it so the price did not hurt so much. I think this one is MUCH more comfortable and usable, at least for me, than the Herman Miller.
you need a good chair to work with sm
I had the same problems for years until I broke down and spent the money for a Herman Miller chair. They are expensive, upwards of 700 bucks, but I can tell you now that I have one, I have NEVER had a problem with my back. I would never work again without this kind of a chair.
No sweat from my behind. I have not one complaint about this chair. nm
.
It's been all standby from my office chair, sister. nm

Here is the link for the place I bought my chair, I have the Mirra sm
www.OfficeDesigns.com/Herman-Miller
Sure thing, The arms on this chair move in many different directions, sm
No need to remove them, just move them where you want! I could never imagine not having this chair to sit in all day now that I have one. Well worth every penny.
Does your behind get sweaty after sitting a long time in that chair?

My microfiber chair is pretty and okay but I get sweaty and I don't like it.

Not all of us fell that way, though!
I work for a company who WANTs us to make good line count, have a good QA, and make us feel appreciated. Keep looking! Save your pajama tops from destruction! I'm telling you, there are good jobs out there and employers who really do value their employees.
Why has your take home fell to this much
That is unreal, what has changed, the line rate, ability to type more or just what?
Exactly what they said about Acusis before the axe fell. n/m

i think you just did when you posted that you fell above the average....besides
he/she asked about the amount so why not give it to help give an idea. im sure everyone wants to know what job pays how much.
I felt like I really fell through the cracks at Medquist...
My computer didn't come for almost a month-and-a-half, I had to have training rescheduled after it finally came, and then I couldn't get a return call from my supervisor with my account specs.

When she finally assigned the account, I got this huge e-mail with samples in it, at least 100, and not really organized in any way, shape, or form. I had some questions on the report types I was supposed to be assigning, but never heard back before getting an e-mail from that she was going to be gone for a week at a supervisor meeting. She didn't even tell me who to call for help.

I made it less than 2 weeks there as there was just no guidance. However, there was a gal who called about a month later to see how things were going, and I told her my experience. She said they were looking into mentors for newhires, so maybe that has improved now.
Honestly, I wonder if this wasn't a way to get resumes. Seems like I fell for this months ago.
This person said she thought her hospital may be hiring and to me send her my resume. Then, she said not to contact the hospital directly about openings or she could get in trouble. Then, immediately after getting my resume, she told me that sorry but she thinks all the positions were filled. I just get the feeling this was the same person and why she was trying to supposedly recruit for others, I will never know other than to collect resumes for some reason.
well geeze, everyone I've ever worked for would pay on the 5th then if the 7th fell on weekend.

Still laughing....
at 'are they flexible' and 'sit for 8 hours day'. Oh my!
Laughing here
You said I would love to QA you stuff myself. I just love it. You probably just need to stick with whatever else you are trying to do.
Sigh ... I fell in love with California the first time I visited when I was 17. sm

Unfortunately, I cannot afford to live there, but I agree -- you couldn't pay me enough to drive a bus in LA or SF.  I wouldn't even want to do it here in Denver.  Bus drivers, truck drivers, all of those who get around in big cities with big vehickles to accommodate have my utmost respect. I have trouble just backing up a car, much less somthing big as a house!

As for the bankruptcy thing, I admit I avoid the news if possible so I do not know about those issues, but I assume California will survive.

Unfortunately, I cannot afford to live there, and I cannot even imagine trying to drive a bus in LA or SF or SD -- they deserve every penny they get!  Heck, I wouldn't even want to drive a bus here in Denver.  I have the utmost respect for bus drivers, truck drivers, and anyone else who drives in big cities with big vehicles in traffic and all that.  I have trouble just backing out a car, much less something as big as a house!

As for the bankruptcy thing, I must admit I play ostrich most of the time and do not watch the news so I haven't heard about that.  Guess even paradise has trouble.

I am laughing here as I cannot take a test
I want to use my pedal but.........this is crazy.... never mind the test is too ridiculous!
Look for lawsuits. Like we need someone laughing at us.
nm
I am laughing so hard here...
Don't let someone make money off of our sweat and tears, when we could be making that money ourselves.  TTD can go fly a kite for sure!
Where DID you come from? You have me laughing myself silly!
Love the comparison with MQ and MDI-MD...
Not even close - laughing
I am just one who has been trying to offer 'food for thought' posts, that's all.

I'm sorry, laughing so hard
I can't type this.
I can't stop laughing! Nice one! nm
nm
I'm crying over here laughing so hard
no message so you don't have to bother looking inside the post. I thought same thing when I first got here...thought boy is this NM lady annoying. LOL!
Rolling on the floor laughing .... nm

Done psych and almost died laughing
at the reports we would get. It was adult/adolescent drug and psych wards. I loved it, thought easy and not boring. Remember the time the man kept complaining about his neck hurting. Went to 1 doctor after the other, no help, no one listening. He finally had enough and got a noose, got a chair and decided to hang himself and end it all. He jumped off, popped his neck and guess what, sorta like a chiropracter, solved his problem and he was a happy man. Just 1 of the many.
when you are finished laughing, pls read

I strongly disagree with you.  To say all MTs are highly skilled is to demean the whole group.  There are roughly -- very roughly -- two categories of MTs.  There are those who do it because they can stay home and breed their chihuahas and herd their babies. Then there are those who absolutely love the field of medicine and work for that reason.  I began in-house and never dreamed that I would eventually work from home. The MTs who are willing to research Hiszysrinksigo's syndrome instead of blanking it SHOULD be paid more per line than the puppie brokers.

I am laughing at there is always work on second and third shifts. If you say so.
Go on with the bashing. Im prepared.
If I could only figure it out...stop laughing...LOL
xx
I don't see ONE single post where anyone is laughing at the SM
MT who is owed the money. NOT ONE. We are laughing at the so-called friend who comes on here insulting and bashing anyone who *dares* to ask a question about the situation and who stoops as low as to insult people about anything from their screen name (which is really mature) or saying they are in a 12-step program or calling people insecure just because of their screen name. THAT is what we are laughing at. I would think that was quite obvious...
While you are laughing, that might not be a good thing because
I thought I was reading up at the top of this that the pay for VR at TT was 3.5 which is even less than what this person is making. I think at 3.5 or less folks are really going to be unhappy.
Losing ANY job is no laughing matter
.
sick and on treatment and they were laughing?
honestly, one day these people will get their due.. unreal that people can laugh at someone's misfortune, an employee no less. Tacky and sad.
CrankyBeach, how can I be laughing even as my BP rises?
I've of course had the insurance company experience with an illness of our own, so your too-vibrant description of doing it all day has my stress level leaping even as I relax waiting for my smothered chicken to finish. Never on this earth. Maybe in the afterlife if I'm very bad.
Hey, stewed, laughing as I read this one
A gourdboard, who would have thought that 1 up!!
Rolling on floor laughing my butt off.
