On the back side of the unit next to the white "ribbon" that is next to the plug-in that goes to the CPU, there is a small dial. Turn that dial to adjust the light on the screen you're talking about.

I've had a tough time working at home. It takes more discipline than in an office and I applaud anyone who can do it and make money.
